How do you take 8 shots and score 3 with no PP? Did PSU bench not hold the line? Who was in net?

River Falls seems to like the low-scoring defensive games which they can win. Are they able to put up some numbers overall?

Made the trek to Potsdam tonight. Loewen was in net. First Potsdam goal was a weak high shot from about 40 feet out that Loewen didn't grab. Second was closer in shot glove side. Third was a scramble that managed its way in.
PSU ran 4 lines all game. Bunch of freshmen got their first goals and points. Refs were clearly not calling anything. It's Tuesday. Thanksgivings in a few days. The linseman and ref were cracking jokes with each other at the blue line during play. Whole thing was a little bit ridiculous. Blatant calls were just simply not being made for either side. Only reason nothing was called was because they were incidental plays. No one was getting out of control rough or trying to get away with anything. Refs were there to make sure someone blew the whistle when the puck was covered, essentially.

I'm thinking they are finally on track. I was worried...they were definitely dragging during the game. Bethel seemed to control quite a bit. I'm confident that we will see soon that Bethel is better than their 0-6 record indicates...6 losses are Gustavus(2), UWS, River Falls, Eau Claire, Stevens Point. Many teams will come out of that stretch with 1 or less wins. I'm guessing they could probably end up 3rd or 4th in the MIAC.
River Falls has had a lot of close games, but they have played good teams. St Olaf is no cupcake. They are 3-3 every game a 1 goal decision. Gustavus, Superior, St Thomas...they definitely can score...but I think they live by their defense.
