I dont know about being a visionary...they did finish 7th out of 10 last year, so they wouldn't really be moving up

Hats off to Steph Moon on the OT winner! Her mom(who's birthyday was yesterday) was up from Pittsburgh, PA to see her daughter play. Nice B-Day gift from the little Moon. =]

I would call Elmira's new jerseys "different". If the purple and the gold are as brilliant as they photograph, you almost need sunglasses. Made me think of that song from way back when (this is where we find out who the oldies and moldies are) "one eyed purple people eater".

I suspect they aren't quite that bright. Check out the red line and the yellow along the boards. They are overly bright as well. However, they are undoubtably "different".

BTW, glad you're still following and posting! :)

That's always bothered me about Elmira -- the over the top P&G -- throw in some green and you have Mardi Gras! It just looks like over-compensating which they don't have to do.

EAST-WEST RIVALRY

Just some food for thought, but in my opinion I feel it would be nice if the Hockey teams from each region were able to put together a Alumni/Booster Club that gave funding to start a cross-regional series. For instance UWRF and RIT could match up 2 or 4 or 6 years in a row, alternating each year at which rink the games were played. I think this would benefit all of the top teams in both regions because they now have an idea of the teams from the regions. Just a thought.
