Utica just scored to make it Chatham 2 Utica 1 Goal by Darcy Hier (another Coloradan)

ok a minute and a half later...Chatham scores again. This should be a good game as long as Chatham doesn't run out of steam. Being short benched has a tendancy to bite back in the third period

Elmira leads Plattsburgh 1-0 early on a goal from Alex Bresler.

Platty leads shots 6-5.

Tiffany Hart lights the lamp on the PP for the Soaring Eagles to make it 2-1 Elmira. Assists to McCall and Colehour.

Platty answers right back as Dijulio records her second goal of the game to tie it back up at 2.

Plattsburgh dominates the second period shot wise but EC gets the lone goal so far as freshman Jillyane Debus scores with an assist from Madison Johnstone on the PP

Statement Plattsburgh.

HUGE four point sweep of Elmira and now the Soaring Eagles have a lot of work to do on this young season to rebound.

I agree! 4 points are very large in the ecac w, but these two team are so close in talent and ability, I wouldn't want to bet on a winner for the next meeting. Both games could have gone either way. What a great series to watch! Kept you on the edge of your seat for 120 minutes.....

PS: Thought I saw Bill Mandigo at the game today. If I did...........scouting for the Middlebury Classic???

Probably the best set of games going on in upstate NY this weekend! A real 1 vs 2 matchup.

Hard to tell when watching the "smoke signal like" livestats but even looked exciting there.

Got to give it Platty though...a sweep no matter how you look at it.

Another exciting D-III Poll top ten matchup as Elmira is visiting Manhattanville for a pair of non-conference games Sat & Sun that can go either way. I saw Manhattanville destroy Nichols two weeks ago, they have quite a bit of speed and a well rounded talented team.
