College Football 2022: “Here’s a twenty, bury two.”

If my Vandals were in it, I would watch. And I would expect hardly anyone else to care. Even with former rivals.

Even if it was on Saturday against no other game of anything.

There was one year where NDSU was like a touchdown underdog, and I bet a pretty good chunk of money on them to win outright. I watched that game, and, of course, they took care of business. That was the only time I've watched the FCS championship game.

If UND made it, I would watch as well...and I also would not expect anyone to care. It's the D-2 Championship.

Why is the FCS championship on today?

I think it was scheduled in advance back before the NFL added Week 18. Normally this would be the Wild Card round so it would still be going against a playoff game, but it would be one game versus going against both networks having games at the same time.

The next two years that are already scheduled have it moving back to Saturday.

Bison aren't looking so hot right now. Down 17 at the half. Would only be the second non-Covid season without NDSU as champ since 2009.

Does anyone else have zero interest in tonight? I can't think of an NC$$ title game that has me as utterly without desire to watch. 1999 (FSU-VaTech) was probably the closest.

While I think it's an interesting matchup soley because of the teams involved (no Alabama, or other perennial schools and yes I know Georgia has been in it the past few years), I think the fact that it's January 9 is a main reason no one is interested. Way too late.

This. For both reasons.

I'll watch even though I fear it could be a blowout.

But every year, I feel January 9 or thereabouts is too late and I have already started losing interest in college football after the Rose Bowl.

I will watch, until it becomes a blowout for Georgia. Even if it's a blowout for TCU, I'd continue watching.

Unlike past years where I had to wake up at 6am for work, I'll probably watch. Not with a whole lot of interest. And probably with flashbacks of what could have been.

I can't get into a Monday night CFB NCG. Given how the NFL added an extra game, couldn't they find a way to put in on Saturday night during the NFL's week 18? (I guess it's all moot once we go to 12 teams.)

If this game were UM-OSU it would be my highest interest national title game not involving Notre Dame in my lifetime, and I would be balls deep rooting for UM.
