there should be consequences if you wish to leave to join a super conference!!

At which point the self-perceived blue-bloods will split off to create new superconferences and the cycle continues....

This.

Once the two super leagues are finalized, eventually the top teams (competitively and/or the amount of money they bring in to the league) from each super league will be upset that they are paying too much of their share to the lesser teams (the very reason Florida State wants out of the ACC). And, as you say, the cycle continues.

Nah. You can't have an 11-game schedule without filler teams unless all they want is to do is play each other during the regular season. That's not going to happen.

They are bound to increase the length of the regular season too. Because they care so deeply about athletes safety.

The whole point of that is more eyeballs. Which apparently works. I'm not really a big fan that so many games were on ESPN- which seemed to have gutted the significance of the games so much that the number of players bailing on the game has really gone up.

Disney can do it because they have SO many channels to cross cover. NBC has a lot of channels, too, but are more "random" than ESPN/2/N/SP/U....

I've wondered whether NBC will go to a family of names, like

NBC-1 -- the old battle axe herself
NBC-B -- Business (CNBC)
NBC-N -- News (MSNBC)
NBC-S -- SyFy
NBC-O -- Oxygen
NBC-T -- Telemundo
NBC-P -- Peacock
NBC-U -- USA
NBC-E -- E!
NBC-K -- Universal Kids
etc...

Other than various Olympic events, it would be hard for that group of channels to broadcast that many different views of the Super Bowl. Not all that many people know they are NBC, whereas all of the ESPN channels have "ESPN" in them other than the SEC and ACC channel.
