College Football 2022: “Here’s a twenty, bury two.”

If the committee really wants to get NYE ratings it will be:

1 UGA
2 Michigan
3 OSU
4 TCU

This is under the assumption they don’t consider any teams with two losses, which they haven’t done to this point.

Not in that order. Well, unless the SEC bribe is just that good. They didn’t let Bama and UGA play in the first round last year- but with B1G contempt, they would make sure only one gets through.

I think it’ll be UGA, UM, TCU, OSU.

You're right the committee has gone against rematches if they can, which is why I don’t think a rematch will happen in the semis(aside from
the fact I think OSU should be 4 anyway), but locking in The Game part 2 would be a ratings dream.

It does get interesting if Purdue wins tonight. That Purdue loss would be worse than the KSU one, so what do you do with two 12-1 non-champions?

Yup, in that order too. No way should OSU jump TCU. Horny Toads lost a close game in OT in the conference championship at a neutral site to a top 10 team. Oh10 St got their asses handed to them in a regular season game at home as heavy favorites too.

And OSU's only noteworthy win was against PSU (not counting Notre Dame, as they also lost to Stanford), who themselves didn't beat anyone with a pulse, so what did OSU really do this season other than lose to Mich?

Well, at least one conference champion will make the Playoff.

Unfortunate that Clemson wasn't able to win last weekend. They would be set up in nice position to sneak in the Playoff with an ACC Championship.

It will be very interesting to see how the committee ranks everyone from 3 to about 10.

I missed it. What happened?

Blocked field goal, never went out of end zone or out of bounds, live ball and LSU players went to the bench? one Georgia player knew it was a live ball and ran 90 yds for a TD with no LSU players chasing him. Funny part was even the player who finally scored looked at the ball laying there as if he shouldn't touch it.

Given the number of nfl players who don’t seem to know that rule, can’t fault lsu too much.

As predicted by several on here, the Playoff is:

1. Georgia vs. 4. Ohio State
2. Michigan vs. 3. TCU

This really would have been a great year for the BCS system.

Still have to wait about another two hours for the New Years Six games. But I would imagine that they would shape up something along the lines of:

Rose Bowl: Utah vs. Penn State
Sugar Bowl: Kansas State vs. Alabama
Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. Tennessee
Cotton Bowl: Southern Cal vs. Tulane

If we had a 12-team playoff this season, here's how it would shape up:

Byes: (Top 4 Conference Champions)
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Clemson
4. Utah

12. Tulane at 5. TCU (winner to play 4. Utah)
11. Penn State at 6. Ohio State (winner to play 3. Clemson)
10. Southern Cal at 7. Alabama (winner to play 2. Michigan)
9. Kansas State at 8. Tennessee (winner to play 1. Georgia)
