College Football 2022: “Here’s a twenty, bury two.”

Certainly didn’t expect that game. But it followed the 2022 script spot on- close half followed by a dominant 2nd half.

based on the last few weeks, I honestly though JJ had throwing issues- but his passing not only scored a lot, it made a troubling running game work really well at the end.

Nice gag job by Oregon blowing a 28 point lead.

21.

On the one hand, sh-t.

On the other hand... well, no, still sh-t.

Still, I'd rather live in a filthy Oregon paper mill town than within a hundred miles of the nearest piece of sh-t M-sshole. There is such a thing as minimal standards of intellect. And hygiene.

From my seat, Georgia and Michigan have clinched spots in the Playoff. I would put the rest of the contenders as follows:

Control your own destiny
TCU - If they win the Big 12 Title game, they are in.

In the mix
LSU - The Tigers are likely in if they win out. If they lose either of their last two, they are out.
Southern Cal - It would be a very interesting comparison between LSU and the Trojans if both win out; however, I just can't see the committee leaving out the SEC champions.
Ohio State - The Buckeyes will need a little bit of chaos. Realisticaly, will need 2 of TCU/LSU/Southern Cal to lose. If not, OSU is probably done.

So you're telling me there's a chance
Alabama - I think the Tide are almost certainly done. However, if TCU, LSU, and Southern Cal all lose in their respective title games? Alabama could sneak in.

With LSU losing to Texas A&M, I would put the Playoff picture as follows:

Clinched a Spot
Georgia
Michigan

Control your own destiny
TCU - If they win the Big 12 Title game, they are in.
Southern Cal - If they hold off Notre Dame and then take the Pac 12 Title game, they are in as well.

In the mix
Ohio State - The Buckeyes were helped tremendously by LSU getting beat. Realisticaly, they now likely need 1 of TCU or Southern Cal to lose. If not, OSU is probably done.

So you're telling me there's a chance
Alabama - The Tide are clinging to life. If TCU and Southern Cal lose in their respective title games? Alabama could sneak in.

6 teams battling for 4 spots (realistically, 4 teams battling for 2 spots).

What would be really crazy is if Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and Southern Cal all lose their respective title games, we could have a Playoff featuring 0 conference champions.

I hate it. Win your conference.

TBF, if Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and Southern Cal all win, then all four participants will be conference champions.

But, it would make this coming weekend a whole lot more interesting if a team had to win its conference championship to be considered. Clemson would still be in the mix! : p

David Shaw resigned at Stanford

Yeah. Not too surprising ultimately, but the abruptness of it is. Winningest coach in program history, went to three Rose Bowls. But the team has gone through 4-8, 3-9, and 3-9 seasons in the last three full seasons and are definitely not on the right path anymore. NIL and the transfer portal made the job at a place like Stanford even harder, and at age 50 with millions to retire on I don't think his heart is in it anymore. Also with the Pac-12 undergoing some significant changes, it is maybe a good time to change directions. A lot of people are hoping for Chris Petersen, but he'd have to want to enter coaching again.
