James Franklin will win a Big Ten title in his third season.

Your move, Harbaugh.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

They do. Disappointing for mankind that they are good, but oh well. Thought franklin was on hot seat early in the year, what a turnaround.

Guess it's either washington or penn state

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

The clusterfugg is all Pitt's fault. Without Pitt, Clemson's undefeated and Penn State is a one loss team with HTH over OSU and a conference championship.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

As an old college friend just noted:
"Losing to a school that majors in minors :("

Good News: We still had a good year; Chryst got his COY award before that stinker of a second half happened; Have to admit, aside from my own feelings of revulsion it was impressive to see a team execute that well for what was basically a perfect half of football; plus Sandusky still rots in prison; JoePa still rots in hell.

Bad News: Everyone who still to this day celebrates that rotten old **** feels validated; hearing Gus gush over Penn State as if anyone else should be glad about this

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

I'm calling it now: Pedophile State will be ranked #4 over Washington.

Some kid at Gameday had a "Make Joe Pa Proud" sign. He couldn't have been older than 14. There's no way he had any actual memories of the JoePa glory days. His mom next to him probably put him up to it, but even then it's still terrible.

I hope the Colorado corners can play some D and shut them down. They didn't seem to have any offense except the deep pass.

Final Pairwise Rankings:
1. Bama
2. OSU
3. PSU
4. Clemson

5. Michigan
6. Washington

Thing I'm most disappointed about this year is that Boise stuck around and finished 8th. Would have liked to see Washington higher, too, but when Idaho ends up being your best non-con opponent, you're gonna have a bad time.

That being said, I think the committee will end up putting UW in over PSU, and I don't have an issue with that.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

The one thing I did not expect was the Badgers absolute inability to stop PSU when it counted. Looks like some halftime coaching won this game.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

What i hate is washington could be rewarded despite a miserable non conference resume. No incentive to schedule difficult games, just do what washington did.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

And Oklahoma played two very challenging nc games. Lost them both but if they scheduled two garbage teams and went undefeated they would be in.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

I will forgive the committee for whatever they do as long as they keep Pedro Bear State out of the picture. I don't want any pedophile enablers involved here...

Ha i am on board with that. Would certainly be in the back of my mind if i were on the committee even though it shouldn't be. Until the paterno worshipping comes to an end, difficult for me to have forgiveness.

Realistically, osu showed that strength of schedule matters over conference champs. There are lots of ways to do it.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

SOS matters if you win the game. But why should Oklahoma bother playing ohio state and houston when they could have just scheduled like washington did?
