College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

To be fair though: Ohio State IS the best Big Ten team, or at least the most deserving of a playoff berth. Neither UW nor Pedo State have better cases to be made after tonight.
All I'm looking for is consistency in the logic. If schedule matters more then the Top 4 should be Alabama, OSU, Michigan, and the Big Ten Winner, if a conference championship matters more than OSU should be bumped out for the Big Ten Winner.

The reality is they need a 16 team playoff. Every conference champion plus six at-large bids.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

Maybe a bit. But if Clemson wins as well they're gonna have tough time explaining why Ohio State is in the Playoff over the actual Big Ten Champion.

That only matters to people that inflate the importance of a conference title game winner and a 16-team format would be a grossly bloated mess.

Alabama is averaging -1.1 per play and is winning 16-9 in the 1st quarter

I feel sorry for the #4 Seed... The Tide are likely to curb stomp whomever ends up in front of them...

I don't like Penn State's chances. They're getting manhandled thus far, and it's their natural reaction to do nothing about that.

Re: College Football 2016-17: Destination Tampa

In order to make JoePa proud, Penn State decided not to show up and do the right things when they were needed most.

" A bar in Gainesville is offering a clever promotion for Saturday’s Alabama-Florida SEC Championship Game (4 p.m. ET, CBS). The bar, 101 Cantina, is handing out apparently free shots of liquor whenever Florida scores — field goal, touchdown, or safety."

You too can begin the 12 steps to sobriety today.

Not sure how this is a clever promotion. Every bar I knkw of in Wisconsin does this for Packer games for as long as i can remember.

I think the committee would like to put a 2nd big ten team in but considering michigan beat both these teams and washington rolled colorado, i don't know what to expect.

Clemson not out of the woods yet.
