Yeah, didn't help it any that the announcers were using it as a big commercial for the BCS Bowl tomorrow. You might have heard of it, it features Texas and Alabama. No need to talk about how LeFever and the Chips are having a hell of a comeback to get back into the game and to force Overtime. Lets show the people what we think Texas is going to try to Alabama tomorrow. Just cover the F ucking game!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

I was going to make some attempted humorous post about forgetting tonights game. But the reality is that I just don't care.

I'm willing to sit through games on New Years Day until all hours, and even a lot of game the week prior. But having games the week after- most of which are as irrelevant as the rest of the bowl games- I just don't get it anymore.

No way I'm going to watch more than a handful of downs tonight, as I have to get into the work flow- bed early enough, work. No chance I'll stay up past half time to watch.

This isn't the Super Bowl- it's just a college game that pretends to have more importance than it does since it's a contrived "championship" game. But I bet for many casual fans, it's just not worth the effort to stay up late on a school/work night. I would love to see the TV ratings now that they've moved these games away from 1/1.

Once again, I hope it's a mistake laden game, won by 2-0 by one of the teams due to a missed snap for a punt. Oh, and it's NOT D that makes it no touchdowns, but terrible O. :)

No, I really don't- I do hope it's a good game. Just having fun.

Who the hell thought it'd be a good idea to put the BCS championship on a thursday night?

Well, since they're hell bent on extending the season a week past New Year's, there isn't a good day to put it on, unless they wanted a 1pm start on Saturday.

I don't think its that bad, but Monday-Wedsday obviously would've been preferred. I think they just like stretching the hype out as long as possible. But hey, remember a playoff would extend the season and ruin the student athelete experience, so we can't have on of those.

If there was a playoff, not just the football team but the entire school might be affected! Why, they might have to close the university for a few days!

There is no way a prestigious University would ever shut down school just for the sake of a championship football game.

A regular season game on a Thursday is one thing, but a championship game never.

One day the NCAA will come out and say, screw it, we know were huge hypocrites and our arguments are horrendous. We dare you to stop buying tickets and turning on the TV.

USC #2 QB, Aaron Corp is transferring to Richmond so he doesn't have to sit out a year.

but i did get the 7-0 square in the office pool (bama got the 7).

i hope to collect tomorrow when someone tells me the score.

Epic Fail Bama. Btw, why didn't the Texas guy just knock the ball down? If he did that its 25 yards closer to the end zone.
