Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

I feel more empathy toward the sad hot chicks of TCU as opposed to the happy heifers of Boise State.

Must I remind you of what TCU stands for? You'd have to marry 'em to have a shot with 'em. ;)

FWIW, I thought that was a very entertaining game, and significantly moreso than the Sugar was. Hoping the Orange tonight is a good one, but since I'll be watching the gold medal game anyway, it probably doesn't matter.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

I agree. I couldn't believe how much hotter the girls in purple were than the ones wearing orange. We're talking exponentially hotter.
That's what happens when you put a school with excellent nursing and education programs in the one area of the South (DFW) that is nearly as image conscious as LA. I went to a couple TCU games when I lived there, but I don't recall seeing too much football... :D

FYP

Southern private school girls are prettier than northern public school girls? Now that is a shock. ;)

Hmmm, maybe grad school wouldn't be so bad after all...

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

That idiotic FOX sideline reporter just called the Georgia Tech offense a "spread offense"

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Might have been better for Iowa's RB to just take a knee right outside the one.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

i'm not watching this game. protest.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

ACC continues its epic failure in BCS games.

Indeed. If we keep giving them an auto-bid we might as well move the Mountain West up a level. Maybe they'll take Boise State and cement things.

Is everybody ready for an epic clash between Central Michigan and Troy in the GMAC bowl tomorrow!

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Well, looks like the Big Ten has re-asserted itself. At least amongst the actually decent bowl teams.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Makes you wonder who the GMAC bowl paid to be the 2nd to last game of the year.

That is a crappy bowl game.

Well, when your three big dogs are Miami, Florida State and Virginia Tech, and two of them haven't really been BCS worthy in about 7 and 9 years, you've got problems. Having Maryland, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech in as your champion is like having Michigan State, Northwestern and Illinois coming out of the Big 10.

Or Iowa.

Tech at least has a history (so I suppose Illinois, Northwestern and Minnesota would be the better analogy).

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

There's a reason you just don't see the triple option offense employed very much any more, and Iowa just showed it last night. Could you imagine if that had been a prolific scoring offense playing Tech last night? That would have gotten ugly.

Hell of a game in the GMAC bowl. Chips block a fieldgoal and then make one theirselves to beat Troy in Double Over Time. Too bad nobody else saw it.

And what in the hell was that **** blue mascot thingy there??

I'm willing to give these crappy bowls a look around Dec 22. By January 7th, Bowl fatigue has set in.
