Pretty dumb to even touch that receiver on an overthrow.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

And that's that.
Just me or were the TCU receivers awful tonight? Granted I didn't watch the whole game.

I feel more empathy toward the sad hot chicks of TCU as opposed to the happy heifers of Boise State.

I thought TCU would win, but I was rooting for BSU. They are now 2-0 in BCS games. If you pile up enough of these BCS wins someones gotta realize that they belong.

Not likely. They keep letting the ACC back.

There's no excuse for TCU having passed all game long. The biggest lead it's been was 10-0 in the first freaking half. They out thought themselves.

And now they have to go 99 yards in 66 seconds. Good freaking luck, you mooks.

what?

I agree. I couldn't believe how much hotter the girls in purple were than the ones wearing orange. We're talking exponentially hotter.

Good point, what is the ACC's record in BCS bowls anyways??

I'm not sure if this includes this years BCS games thru yesterday or not. But if we add TCU/BSU game to the totals here it is.

http://www.bcsfootball.org/bcsfb/alltime

Highest Winning Percentages By Conference

Conference Percentage (Record)
Southeastern .706 (12-5)
Pacific-10 .692 (9-4)
WAC .667 (2-1)
Mountain West .667 (2-1)
Big East .545 (6-5)
Big 12 .438 (7-9)
Big Ten .421 (8-11)
Atlantic Coast .182 (2-9)
Independents .000 (0-3) in other words Notre Dame

Yeah, don't think it includes this bowl season's numbers yet. The only WAC games I can think of would have been the Boise over OU game, and then the curb stomping that Georgia gave Hawai'i.

Still, ACC below the Mendoza line??? Ouch!!! Hell, even the Big East is batting .500 here in BCS Games....

Now you know the REAL reason the turf is blue at Boise Community Colllege.

(very long standing joke up in Moscow)

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

This game has had a lot of missed passes, but i wouldn't call it horrible.

I do think the teams defenses are playing well for what they are. Especially Boise being able to force TCU to pretty much pass on every down.

I dunno- I thought there were a lot of poorly thown passes. It's not like the Bcc D is THAT good- Idaho managed to put up over 20 points in their blowout. And we ran, too.

And I thought the QB draw plays were poorly planned in timing.

I was hoping a LOT for a better game, but I saw poor O vs. good D. On both sides.

BCC's only good drive started AFTER they did the fake punt- that was more like the BCC that put the beat down on my Vandals.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

The quarterbacking quality wasn't what we've come to expect, but I thought last night's game was one of the best, most exciting football games I've seen in a while. The TCU front seven flew to the ball all night and Boise made a couple plays (on defense and special teams) that put them over the top. I'm so used to seeing offensive fireworks everywhere that it seemed out of place, but I prefer watching games where, when the ball is snapped, I think the defense has a real chance to actually do something right and not just play the occasional foil.
