He got two tickets to paradise... Except paradise was a sh-tty bowl game.

"I'm gonna take you on a trip so far from here,
I've got two tickets in my pocket, now baby, we're gonna disappear."

That about sums up my feelings on the Liberty Bowl.

This ECU kicker will be paying his own way and have a lot of time to study next year.

What is this the second game this year won by an SEC team decided by incompetent place kicking.

Pretty good football game going on in the background of the Mike Leach news room.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Are you daring to mock the mighty pwnage that is SEC football?

The kickers were intimidated playing teams from the SEC. That's why they missed.

Goddammit I hate Davie.

Ex-Notre Dame coaches shouldn't be allowed to talk in front of a camera. If ESPN has frontbutt as an analyst next year, I'll burn the city of Bristol to the ground.

That would do you no good.

As they keep reminding us they have a studio in L.A. now.

Holtz would die from that much exposure to the sun, and Weis is from the northeast. I'm likely to get at least those two.

I wouldn't say "no good." At the very least the mother ship would be knocked off the air for a while :p

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

I keep hearing Texas Tech's bell ringing in the background. This is all I can think of:

Page 2 enthusiasts unite! TT better go for it after the TO, or the football gods will smite them.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Well, with Mangino and Wies out of jobs right now, if the interim coach at Tech there is named the HC, he would be the fattest coach in the land.

He got his own Fark thread...he graduated last spring and used up his last year of eligibility while deciding on grad school.

Looks like his decision has been made.

Does Mark Ingram remind anyone else of a grown-up version of the third baseman in the movie Hardball that gets beat up?

That's all I could think of when Ingram was up there accepting the Heisman trophy.
