Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

So, we now know why Stoops was in Tuscaloosa giving Saban advice.

"Fake on 4th and long, do lots of 7 step drops and never give the ball to your awesome Heisman running back."

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Who knew that giving it to your Heisman winner might be a good idea?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Texas loses another QB. Awesome!

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Texas is so screwed. This is turning into the 2003 Sugar Bowl, where FSU ended up with Anquan Boldin playing quarterback because everyone else was hurt or suspended. The only reason that game wasn't 52-13 was because Richt called off the dogs.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Texas didn't do themselves any favors by failing to score TDs on those 2 gifts.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

They called a timeout just so they could call a shovel pass from their own 37?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Mack Brown might be the football version of Doug Woog if he actually won a title.

How can you do so little with so much?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Woops.

What were they thinking with that play call when they could have just let the clock run out?

They were down 11, but getting the football. Give the staff the benefit of a long halftime break to try and figure *something* out for the 2nd half. Just don't take chances and risk blowing the game before the half.

A comeback woulda been a longshot but . . . Woops, indeed.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

For all the crap Ohio State gets for their BCS title blowouts, they need to stop giving Big 12 teams the benefit of the doubt when there's controversy about who to send.

01 Nebraska- Loses to Miami 37-14. Should have been Oregon
03 Oklahoma- Loses to LSU 21-14. Should have been USC
04 Oklahoma- Loses to USC 55-19. Should have been Auburn
08 Oklahoma- Loses to Florida 24-14. Cluster**** just to see who played in the B12 title game.

Fl / LSU / Fl / Ala

If SEC chest-beating makes you ill, it might be a good time to turn off the TV and find a cave. It's gonna be ugly.

As one of the few SEC fans who know what hockey is, I'll go on record right now to say that I'm getting no pleasure from this. At all. :(

Why doesn't TX have at least a redshirt freshman (if not sophomore) backup?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

At least TBS is airing the "Road to Rhode Island" episode of Family Guy.

Because they moved Chiles to WR.
