The refs are wretched . . . but frankly so is this game. :p

But Texas overcomes their false start...

Busted coverage alert!

Think Mack Brown regrets that turnover at the end of the 1st half?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Query:

If/When Texas wins, can I say legitimately that Alabama choked?

Right now there's a yellow streak running down the sidelines of the players and coaches wearing that ugly maroon color.

Yes.

On a different subject: if nothing else this game will be memorable for all the crazy short-kicks...

Oh yes. If Vegas adjusted lines mid-game, Alabama was a 30 point favorite 5 minutes in.

Christmas has come about 340 days early for you this year!

If Christmas really came early, Texas would be winning. :p

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Bama has been awful in the second half offensively. They should have been running and throwing short passes.

Such a conservative set of playcalls.

And when Bama should have beeen conservative: punting instead of that awful fake punt, punting on the long FG attempt instead of missing and giving UT good field position...

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

WOw... I shut this off at halftime, came back for a score check and texas is within 3??? ***?

Edit: You can't say w--t--f? shizzle.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

It's like Saban figured at halftime that all Ala needed to do to win was not turn the ball over.

Hell, that's what I thought. But it's one thing to think it and another to act. Certainly looks like they went into cruise-mode too early...

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Oh my. Oh my.

Was that a jinx for the ages, or what?

Just as Musberger finished raving about how Texas hadn't allowed a sack....

Sure you can. You just need to know the secret.

WTF?

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Well, that sucked. Go Boise.

Edit: Oh, right. These aren't semifinal games.

Texas defense was great in the second half even when McElroy went back to pass his receivers were covered and/or they got to him before he could throw the ball.

I just fell bad for McCoy, he's been quite possibly the best QB in the country the last four years, got screwed out of a shot of playing for a title last year and this year he makes it and goes down in the first series.

To add insult to injury the Bama defense proved to be pick apartable, if McCoy plays this games turns out a lot different.

Re: College Football 2009: Where Championships are won by a majority vote

Bama will win, barring a miracle, and you can't take that away from them, but they proved nothing to me by allowing Texas, without Colt McCoy, to have the ball late in the fourth with a chance to take the lead.
