It feels wrong to complain about being able to view all games online for free, but I'd like it if the scoreboard that CBS has above the video was synched with what's on my screen instead of being a bit ahead (rather, my video feed is probably a little behind), as it sort of spoils what's going to happen next in close games. Though I've found I can scroll the scores so the current game is off of the screen.
My best bracket has 12 right. But that also has Memphis, Oakland, VCU, Marquette, and Florida St winning as double digit seeds. :eek
Survived that thanks to VCU, Marquette, and FSU. Finished with 25 - 3 back of the leaders in my pool so far. Down 2 S16 teams though. Key games for me - Kentucky over WVa and BYU over Gonzaga (my other 2 brackets have the Zags). A Moorehead St win would minimize my loss of Louisville.
I'm very interested in hearing the final analysis from the head of officials on the UNC-Washington ending. Romar claimed he and his staff asked the officials to look at they clock and that they did so. I just can't see how that's possible with the clock still reading 0.5.
I guess Richmond wasn't in the mood for Morehead.
CBS did an interview with someone, have no idea what his title is, who says the referees asked the timekeeper and he said he didn't need replay, he was correct (the rule doesn't specify that the referees HAVE to use replay). He also pointed out that the clock stops not when the ball is touched, or when it hits the ground, but when the referee blows the whistle. Humans simply don't react fast enough to see a ball hit out of bounds and blow a whistle (let alone have the sound of the whistle travel to the clock operator and have him react) that matches the speed of technology.
Marquette seems to have caught a break with a back court violation call just now. Though I fully admit I may not know the rule
