anybody see the play in the women's game with the pick and the A&M player getting hurt? Curious what other people thought. The announcers were quick to say it was a totally clean play. I wouldn't say it was dirty either but I could see some clarification of the rules in that setting. Having your arms like that to protect you also puts your elbows as the first thing the other player will hit...in this case with the side of her head. Happens all the time but I hadn't seen the arms up in the blocking position before, I could see arms down across your body protecting you without the increase in risk that the other player gets hurt.

Difference between men and women - men put their arms a certain way to prevent getting nailed in the junk (see also; soccer wall). Women put their arms that way to protect the twins up top.
At least that's how I remember it being explained back in the day.

Clean, just a solid pick and she wasn't looking. Unfortunately Stanford blew that game and the easiest path they've had to the title in years with UConn gone now.
