CCHA teams will join WCHA

Re: CCHA teams will join WCHA

So you think the new-WCHA is weaker even than the post-Big 10 CCHA?

I think you've bought into the "NCHC is picking off all of the 'elite' programs" kool aid more than I have.
Shut the **** up and only poison one thread you ****ing piece of ****.

Re: CCHA teams will join WCHA

Next time someone blasts you for your clear and present stupidity in some similar manner perhaps you might consider using "classy" as a sarcastic response.

Whine.

Do we need a 3-goal first period up there across-the-street from Russia too? Again, shouldn't be tough.

It seems the only acceptable approach to the remainder-WCHA is to act exactly how you expect the rest of us to act.

Well... your conference will be kind of pathetic. It's the minor leagues, chief, hate to break it to you. CCHA teams to join WCHA. Ha. Can we say consolation prize?

Maybe we should ask the NCAA about yanking the WCHA's auto-bid. The programs that are left clearly don't deserve it. 2 auto-bids each to the NCHC and Big 10 - that would get us a national tourney worth watching.

(There, that make you feel better?)

I've been patient with you because you a newbie. this is a time of great upheaval in college hockey. several good honest programs may not survive. we are losing a great commitment to helping the growth of college hockey. (props here to Minnesota) (props here to Michigan Tech) the western programs have shattered. all because of a knee jerk reaction to the formation of the Big Ten. flinging this kind of crap doesn't help an already bad situation. please take your snarky comments and ... oh wait ... I shouldn't say that. save them for the game threads.

Re: CCHA teams will join WCHA

Nothing about what I said could possibly be construed to be whining. Good to see exactly what sort of "lawyer" you are. You really enjoyed the classes about Edward Bernays didn't you?

There's quite a few more Palinista references that you can make. I'd suggest before using them in response to me that you search my blog using "Palin" first though. I look forward to the Igloo and Eskimo references next.

All I know is how you are acting ...

I'm looking forward to seeing DU as an opponent in the 2014 NCAA's.

If by "worth watching" you mean bore the shyte out of all but the insipid alumni of those schools who use the program they support to enhance their egos then .. yeah. Otherwise, your suggestion is patently the stupidest freaking thing anyone has said on this board since 1999. No big surprise there.

That's quite a distinction, stupidest thing anybody has said on this board. I've seen a lot of stupid stuff on here in the last decade (I've been here, even if I wasn't posting).

I agree that flinging this stuff doesn't help an already bad situation. Which is why I wish you all would quit demonizing the "evil" programs for simply not sharing your view on what's best for individual programs and for college hockey. There is an argument to be made that the NCHC is good for college hockey. Unfortunately, it is not an argument that is welcome here. There has been some pretty nasty stuff said on this board; why do you think I finally jumped in after lurking for over a decade? It's 50-against-1 here, and I'm the one. It's a little hard to blame me for all of the vitriol. What's that old saying - he who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones?

EDIT: On a slightly more constructive, Alaska-specific note. I understand if you are pained by the prospect of playing in a less-competitive conference. But the talk of "programs folding" shouldn't even be discussed in your specific case. From what little I know about your state, money literally flows up there. I have a hard time believing that the very-wealthy State of Alaska is going to lose any program - be it academic, athletic, government, whatever - unless it chooses to lose it. If this is all about the greater good for college hockey (not your specific program), then that's a different discussion. But like I said, any notion that the NCHC might be good (or at least neutral) for college hockey is just not open to discussion here. Anybody who tries - even anybody less-agitating than I am - would be instantly made out to be a greedy devil, because you already know the answer; no discussion is needed or welcome.

Even a crappy lawyer would take the individual "demonizing" comments that you claim everyone ("you all") is making and address/rebut/refute them. They're sposed to teach that in lawyering school aren't they? How to make an argument 101?

Instead ... you (not a crappy lawyer apparently) choose to continue to troll EVERYONE with your ill-informed commentary.

Sso sonce aagain, I iinvite yyou tto bbutzout. What part of nobody wants to hear what you have to say are you having a hard time with?

Re: CCHA teams will join WCHA

In something tenuously connected to this thread, Ciskie's just run off a bunch of tweets that BG's is having or has had a meeting with the AHA-4 and a school currently without a D1 program, but plays other sports in the MAC. Apparently Buffalo.

Edit: RIT invited but declined, Air Force didn't send someone but "interested"

There is an entire thread devoted to the super-league going down the tubes. If that's not demonizing the NCHC schools, what would you call it? It's not a great leap to see that most folks are there simply to pile on. (Granted, not everybody, not all, but you go ahead and argue semantics, this isn't a legal brief.)

You are quite correct, though, that nobody wants to hear what I have to say. Discussion is not welcomed. Differences of opinion are not welcome. And any notion that the NCHC might be good for college hockey - also not welcome.

To which I respond - too bad. You can read my posts, or you can choose to skip over them. But the NCHC will improve college hockey, I say.

Yeah, saw that too... Interesting for sure. I'd love to see the CCHA survive. Another Autobid is a good thing. However, no DI school in the WHCA is not such a good thing...

So clearly you are either lying when you said you've lurked here or you really are as stupid as many of us are imagining. That thread is "tradition". Go look at how many "tubes" threads there are.

I have my doubts that you could spot the difference between a legal brief and a receipt from Taco Bell.

You are quite correct, though, that nobody wants to hear what I have to say. Discussion is not welcomed. Differences of opinion are not welcome.
And so ... the cumulative weight of that doesn't dissuade you from continuing?

Yeah cos that's what you've been doing here? Trying to show everyone how the BHHC will be good for hockey by detailing how little you care about what happens to any program outside your silly new conference?

There's a saying I'm sure some lawyers have heard or even dispensed to their clients ... You made your bed, you sleep in it.

I heard an interview with Pletsch a couple days ago, and it didn't even seem like he believed that keeping the CCHA around was a viable option. He was asked if it was fair to compare him to a captian leading his passengers to the life boats and he said that was a good analogy.

But hey, you never know.

Fair Enough, perhaps calling it the CCHA is not the best... but then again, calling it the WCHA after all this seems silly as well...

Maybe OU or Kent are bringing back hockey!!

Take the name and the autobid(?) and push his *** out the door. Get Rob Blake or Ken Morrow or something to run the league in their spare time. And if Buffalo, OU and Kent come in, there will be six MAC hockey teams and we'll be forced to join the MAHC. :p

Don't forget about UMass!!

Look at the date next to my name, you think I faked it? That said, I am not a full-time lurker; most days, I have better things to do with my day than learn the tradition of forum thread titles. Read the actual content, though, and you will see I am correct - the thread's primary purpose is lambaste the NCHC.

Does calling me stupid make you feel better? I assure you, I'm not. You may think I'm wrong, misguided, even duped by propaganda, maybe. But stupid?

And so ... the cumulative weight of that doesn't dissuade you from continuing?

Not at all. Should it? I am obliged to agree with the conventional wisdom in order to post here?

More on the point of this thread, do we know who the AHA-4 are? Or do I have to be a member of some club to be privy to such special regulars-only knowledge? Same 4 as before, or different group?
