It'll still be the fault of "all them lazy welfare takers." You know, despite the fact that the majority of those on it probably voted for Trump and every other red name on the ballot.

Yep...same in Pennsylvania where people in Erie thought a guy who couldnt get casinos to turn a profit will bring back jobs.

This isnt about Rural vs. City...this is about the the Dems not voting for her. Her numbers were down in every Dem stronghold. even where she won, it was significantly less than Obama.

The Rs have no excuses. But they'll do what they always do with opportunity: screw it up.

I'll repeat myself: I expect the Ds to overwhelm in 2020.

Maybe in two years I will agree with you, when I have enough time away from this...but I watched Dubya win re-election. I dont even know who the Dems could run...maybe Franken?

I am trying to find silver linings and I aint seeing one right now. (and I can usually find one)

You are feeling exactly what about half the country felt in 2008 and 2012.
In both (Obama, Trump) cases I felt some trepidation at what I perceived as an inexperienced unknown with more style than substance being handed the reigns.

The Republic is still here.
The Republic will be here in 2020.

Trust me I hope you are right...but Obama didnt preach hate to get elected. It isnt the policies of Drumpf I worry about (like say Romney or McCain) it is the wave of anger and hatred he used. He stirred something up and I am not sure we can put the genie back in the bottle.
