Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

It's still a question of who voted for him, either BECAUSE of his horrible qualities or because people didn't think that was enough to disqualify him.

I haven't paid enough attention to say that you are among those who did, but 56 million people are.
I understand. But that was my point. I wasn't one of the 24,000 who voted for him in the Minnesota primary. I wasn't one of the 14 million or so who voted for him in the Republican primaries as a whole, and I wasn't one of the 56 million who voted for him in the general. But if he is "my guy" like I was told in July and August, all of us own him now.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

I've been reading about how voter turnout was lower than expected. It seemed to contradict what I've seen, read and heard about the astounding number of people that voted early and the long lines on Election Day.

No. Doesn't work that way. The people that voted in a way that helped him get elected own him. Just like Nader voters OWNED W. I don't own him. I voted the only way there was to stop him.

Don't even try placing this on me.

There are 240 million people who can vote in this country. 14 million were able to get him on Tuesday's ballot and 56 million put him in the White House. Time to start looking in the mirror, people, and stop pointing fingers.

City Democrat turnout was higher, and rural GOP turnout was marginally higher. But rural Democrats were non existent.

Clinton got Obama level votes or better in the cities, but Trump ran better in the already red areas than expected. Not because he added a ton of new red votes, but because there were less blue votes offsetting them.

The only people today who can say with a straight face they didn't elect Trump are the ones that voted for Hillary. Period.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

You think they wouldn't take that opportunity to embarrass the shiat out of him?

< ponderings as "Sen. Sicatoka" looks at his voting button >

"Let's see, swipe left, embarrass him and have to look at him in here tomorrow or, swipe right, send him packing and make him SEP*."

< swipe right >

*SEP = someone else's problem

Astute observation. Those don't seem to reconcile do they.

Longer lines due to lots of "haven't voted in a while" folks coming out (where the savvy frequent voters do the absentee or early thing)?

And 200k more put Hillary in. About 100k people in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania decided this election.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

The people I've talked to who voted for Trump didn't hold their nose. They pulled the level with enthusiasm.

Me too, but you have to assume some werent like that.

As for Frauddy...we all know his true colors he is just a sheep of another color. "The ones crying racist are the rcist" mantra of a person who just cant handle the truth. I bet he believes in reverse racism as well though he wont talk about it in polite company.

Agree. Why? Let's see ... Bernie is 74. Hillary is 68. Warren is 67. ... not sayin', jus' sayin' ...

The Ds and Rs are all dinosaurs.

If you look at the Senate, the Ds have a lot more senior citizens than the Rs.

They need to find and nurture their seed corn. If BHO went back to the Senate, he'd probably be on the younger side of the D demographic.

I assume nothing.

The stat that I will take from this election more than any other is that 53% of white women voted for Trump. My conscience is clear. I knew my demographic was dumb and idiotic. I did everything I could to counter it.
