Agreed. As someone who's committed to the total destruction of the Republican party, this convention has succeeded beyond my wildest dreams! :D

Oh yea. This guy is nuttier than a fruitcake. But because he is Jr., he got the President job at Liberty after Daddy died.

My youngest boy, who is a Liberty grad, thinks Junior is a disaster.

It seems like somebody is winging it. San Francisco 1964 and Chicago 1968 went off the rails, but this one seems like a Ted Mack Amateur Hour production.

I wonder if Cruz has damaged his re-election chances. The RNC hates the guy and would like nothing better than to primary him. If he survives a primary, enough TX GOP loyalists might decide to sit on their hands in the 2018 election. I don't know who the Dems will run against him: Wendy Davis, maybe, or perhaps one of the Castro brothers?

Cruz may even decide to retire from his seat to concentrate on his presidential run.

Don't see that happening unless Trump wins. If he loses, Calgary Ted is gonna say "told ya so" and then label anyone who opposes him as either an Establishment stiff or a Trump loser. Plus to primary him you have to run to his right. Is anybody to the right of Ted Cruz? :eek:

He owns the Movement Lane and he's going to fight Pence and Cory Gardner for the Thumper Lane. Ryan has the Pragmatic Lane and is going to fight Ben Sasse for the Corporate Crony Lane. Little Marco will give it another go in the Brown Jesus Lane and hope the GOP has learned the lessons of 2012... finally. They'll fish a woman out of the typing pool to pay lip service there. And we need a new Crazy Negro to complete the progression {Keyes, West, Cain, Carson, x}

Pretty interesting last night on Bill Maher. Michael Moore and Bill for that matter reminding everyone that Trump could win. In fact Moore said that he believed he would win. Joy Reid from MSNBC tried (like everyone does here) to remind them that African Americans vote on Presidential years. Moore reminded everyone that every white guy in the United States is going to vote this time around.

You could see all convention the venom they have for Hillary. And it's reflected in the poll numbers. All Trump has to do is convince everyone that it's a game of Celebrity Apprentice (I'd say 75% of the electorate already votes that way anyway) and he's got a shot.

tD will come out in late/mid october and promise to air a weekly hour show where people (congress, cabinet, whatnot) bring him ideas. he'll sit at the table and approve or reject (you're fired).

Now, I'm not one to have fun at other people's expense. However, after watching the train wreck that's been the GOP convention, I can't help but laugh at people, be it Michael Moore, Scooby, or anybody else, who still see Trump winning this thing. If he can't even run a party convention, how in holy hell do you see him running a national campaign?

Yeah Maher likes to play off the "better to say Trump will win than pretend he cant win" bit. Moore is out to lunch because he thinks everyone in the country votes like rural white Michiganders.
