And maybe I don't know Warren well enough. But it seems to me Franken is a bit more clever and positive. Warren just seems more scathing.

Warren belongs where she can do the most good -- shepherding through regulation to break up the banks and regulate Wall Street. She's focused on a particular policy bloc and a Veep needs to be more of a generalist. If Warren were going to move to the EOP, it would be at a cabinet level post like Secretary of Treasury or Commerce.

A fair point I'd say. Warren does point out things that are wrong with "the system" predominantly. In elections people do want a little bit of positivity. At least Dems do. ;)

Ah Bernie- see Carnegie, Rockefeller, Morgan, et al 100+ years ago. They weren't the inventors of the game, either.

Just a reminder that when you break up a trust or a monopoly, the sum of the part become worth more than the old. And the rich become richer.

I don't see a Teddy 2.0 walking through that door anytime soon.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIII: Clinton destrueretur est. Trump est destruetur. Vox Pop

Trump is cuddling up to White ISIS.

Newman spearheaded the recent smear campaign against Planned Parenthood that falsely accused the organization of selling fetal tissue and has built an entire career around harassing abortion providers . Sullenger, his Operation Rescue colleague, even served “time in jail for conspiring to bomb a California abortion clinic in the 1980s.”

Newman’s views are so extreme that he said a man convicted of murdering an abortion provider was “little more than a political prisoner” who should have been allowed to argue that he was performing a “justifiable defensive action” and “present a defense that claimed that the killing of the abortionist was necessary to save the lives of the pre-born babies that were scheduled to be killed by abortion that day.”

In the same book, “Their Blood Cries Out,” the two also suggest that women who have had an abortion are “murderesses” who shouldn’t be treated any differently than abortion providers or “any other mother” who killed “any other family member,” and that God is now punishing America for abortion rights with terrorist attacks like 9/11, cancer and HIV/AIDS. The California drought, inclement weather and financial turmoil, according to Newman, are all results of the legalization of abortion.

Another reason to oppose Trump (if you needed one).

Rummy the Dummy said:
Mrs. Clinton is a known known. Donald Trump is a known unknown who's a recent entry into the equation. And I am a lot more comfortable with a known unknown, who I will support, than with a known known who is unacceptable.

That was a statement Dubya would be proud of.

Hey, wait a minute...I was told (by Sanders supporters) that Hillary was SUCH a warmonger that she'd be endorsed by Rumsfeld, Cheney, Dubya, etc. What gives?

I was 100% sure you made that up as a joke until I clicked the link.

How bad of a human being do you have to be that a reference to your war crimes makes your Greatest Hits album?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIII: Clinton destrueretur est. Trump est destruetur. Vox Pop

Bernie says what his movement wants.

tl; dr:

We want to end the rapid movement that we are currently experiencing toward oligarchic control of our economic and political life.

No kidding. Getting paid (dare I say bought and paid for) that much by banks.
Look what tDon got paid from 2013 to 2015 by the banks (source) to give speeches:

Looks to me like she's massively underpaid.

Like I said, that's just the banks.

The medical/pharamas:

So Bernie's central goal is not about furthering the Dem prospects in the fall and therefore advancing the liberal cause. He really should run as an independent.

If the Dem platform ignores Bernie they are going to upset a very highly energized portion of their electorate. If they bow and bend over to Wall Street, they'll tick off St. Liz and her followers.

I understand that platforms are so much window dressing, but you have to keep your blocs attached to the mothership.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XIII: Clinton destrueretur est. Trump est destruetur. Vox Pop

Why is it when a Gooper makes a lot of money he's a brilliant businessman, but when a Dem does it must be underhanded? Sic, I thought all you knuckledraggers worshiped money above all else? Shouldn't you then be celebrating Hillary's ability to earn a buck? :D

Hypocrisy? :)

She rails against them, but takes their money?

She can "earn" the buck, but let's not pretend she hasn't become beholden to them in the process. It's that or she's extorting them (with the threat of a possible Presidency).

And PS - If I'm a "knuckledragger" for asking about this so too must be Bernie.
