Like Empress Marie Theresa of Austria. "She wept, but she kept taking."

Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!
Croupier: Your winnings, sir.
Captain Renault: Oh, thank you very much.

This would have a lot more resonance if your own hero Bernie Sanders didn't label everybody who doesn't agree with him as a DINO corporate sellout whore. Look at his enemies list of closet conservatives. Barney Frank? Dan Malloy? Barbara Boxer? John Lewis? Sherrod Brown???

I have no problem with people voting Bernie. I have a problem with the Messiah Complex. A quote I saw once said it all: "I'm looking for a political candidate flaws and all, not a religion."

I must have missed that.

RCP has enough data now to aggregate the polls that mention Johnson and Stein.

Current averages:

Code:
[SIZE=3]41.6 Clinton
36.6 Trump
 7.0 Johnson
 4.6 Stein[/SIZE]

It would be hilarious if a Clinton won for the third time with under 50%.

I thought Rover would stop the trolling once it became obvious Bernie pivoted towards trying to influence policy at the convention rather than win, but I guess not.

Must be upset the 16 seed is going to keep the full court press going against the 1 for the whole game.

You've gotta eat your peas Spartan. You guys got a little too huffy when you thought you were doing well and did some things detrimental to the party. Now its time to eat a little sh !t. :D Not sure how old you are, but that's kinda how the world works. You can't badmouth a co-worker for 6 months and basically accuse them of stealing, then when that person becomes your boss all of a sudden expect to start fresh with them.

Sanders needs to concede and endorse. Its not any more complicated than that.

The voice of unity.

It's a good thing Hillary herself has shown more diplomacy and leadership than some of her adolescent supporters. But thanks for the lesson in why Clintonistas are often accused of arrogance and churlishness.

There is plenty of childishness among Bern-outs too, Kep. Don't go doing your Superior Dance here.

Couple of funny articles that signal just how the press can flip out about stuff.

1) Weekly Standard article: Hillary Campaign should be panicking. Has the premise that Donald had a terrible months and she's only ahead by 5%ish percent. The silly part is that they fail to actually give a scenario they deem likely where Trump wins. As in which bunch of states will switch and that he won't lose any and where he still wins. Also seems to me the Standard is not exactly Trump fans to the point of actively trying to replace him. So why should we take them seriously?

2) New York Times: Brexit Revolt casts shadow over Clinton's 2016 bid. I would think the NYT would know that the politics behind Brexit is completely different than the US presidential election. Not only are completely different issues involved, but a different group of voters. Also, Brexit only passed by 52/48. A couple of votes switch sides and the New York Times doesn't write this article...and in any case, its within the margin for error with soo many variables in play. And again, show us the electoral votes that switch sides to Trump rather than reading all sorts of crazy stuff into a vote with completely different circumstances.

Doesn't matter too much whether Bernie's trying to win or just influence policy. The danger of Bernie is that he's willing to be a fifth column in order to achieve his goals.

They probably think the indictment is coming anytime now.

Expect to see this a lot, especially out of the so called serious publications like the paper who put Judith Miller on the front page. The media NEEDS a horserace. Lazy pundits see an easy article trying to connect Brexit to Trump. The problem for Goopers and the lamestream media is Trump is only within 5% because the polls are tweaking their samples to make the race closer than it actually is. An oft sited example is how Trump is miraculously doing better with Hispanic and non-white voters than Romney, despite openly being at war with them.

The Echo Chamber gets paid telling their people what they want.

You don't see a connection between the Article 50 referendum (I'm starting to hate the word Brexit, unless they call Scotland's predicted referendum the Sexit) and Donald Trump?
