I'm not worried about margin. As you say, Hillary will win 95/5 black, 80/20 Latino, 75/25 Asian.

Latino turnout is the key. Black turnout was skyhigh the last two elections -- even with the Tangerine Tyrant on the ballot that will drop.

The other thing I am looking for is those soccer moms that Rove somehow conned into voting for Dubya. A lot of them will be coming back to the Democrats, now that the Scary Negro has been replaced by the Queen Bee of Moderate Maidenhood.

White men lacking college degrees and white women lacking high school diplomas can't outvote the entire rest of the country.

This could actually be a landslide (15+ points).

While I purposefully spent most of my undergraduate time in the sciences, I feel my high-priced Liberal Arts education was for naught. I have seriously never heard the following quote until today.

Hillary supposedly vetting Warren. Terrible choice in my opinion. Its the national election where Hillary should be looking at winning the middle. Warren's kinda Bernie without the Bernie name, popularity and charisma. Also, Hillary's also the first potential female president, why add to that with an unconventional female VP pick? Her most challenged demo is white males and I don't buy it, but the number one unstated knock against Hillary is that she's an 'angry older woman'...many guys are turned off by that. So she doubles down on all that? And takes somebody from the NE where she's from? And from the most solidly Dem state in the country? I truly hope this is an olive branch maneuver.

Hillary is the middle. She's going to need to appeal to liberals to unify the party and Warren is an obvious short list candidate.

Also: the guy who thinks Hillary is an "angry older woman" is a sexist idiot-- we're not aiming for him.

I don't believe Hillary will choose Warren -- she wants to be on Lady Rushmore alone. Also I'm not sure Warren would accept -- she can do much more in the Senate. (Same with Brown.)

Warren is Bernie without the distinct "crazy, smelly, hippie" vibe of his remaining loyalists that are planning this fart-in at the DNC. How mature of them. :rolleyes:

But I agree with you (:eek:). Hillary needs Warren in the Senate, not twiddling her thumbs at Number One Observatory Circle and filling in at minor events. VP was a perfect "thanks for all of your loyal years of service, here's your retirement send-off" role for Biden. Hillary needs to find another Joe Biden (though preferably one less prone to gaffes).

I cant believe i am saying this, but I think she should take Franken. He is a liberal voice that is well respected and if he leaves the Senate chances are Minnesota replaces him with another Dem.

While I agree with that, liberals see Hillary as the middle. Independents, battlegrounds and the constituency she can win from Trump question that centrist position (its the Obama syndrome all over again). A big benefit of Hillary is that she is moderately centrist...so I don't think you swerve left as you approach the national election (and Warren is a serious swerve to the left). Also, I have yet to see a democrat that would sit it out because they heart Bernie and take a chance on Trump being elected. Having said that, I can't imagine she picks her. IMHO

Any white male put off from voting for Hillary ain't gonna change his mind no matter who she picks for veep. She could choose the ghost of Ronnie Raygun, and they'd still vote against her because...........Hillary.

Might as well try to build a base for the future and lock up those Bernie progressive voters for years to come.
