Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

No one has won yet. Until the race is done no one will win. Actual votes mean jack squat. They don't go by popular vote but by delegates. Haven't been exposed to anyone who is exhibiting entitlement. Haven't seen anyone saying Bernie will make the rules (maybe I am sheltered, or at least not steeped in the social media of it all). Have seen people saying they haven't lost yet and there still is a race. I don't have a problem with that or with people hoping to sway what Hillary/ the party eventually runs on. That is how things work.

There is a race, yes, but Hillary is winning it even after excluding the super delegates. That is a fact. She's also ahead of the pace she needs to clinch the nomination, which means Bernie not only has to meet expectations, but exceed them to make up for the prior deficit in delegates.

Her lead is roughly the same as an NFL team with a two touchdown lead in the third quarter. It's not insurmountable, but thinking she's somehow lost her status as the favorite is simply incorrect.

Correct. However, one person is leading and one person is behind significantly. As I've said before, if Sanders truly commanded a new progressive army that would overwhelm the system count me in! If he's just saying that and doesn't have the troops he claims he does, no way do I want him facing off against Trump. As George McGovern found out the hard way, having boisterous student support doesn't necessarily translate into victory.

If he wins the delegate count (and he has every right to stay in the race until Hil gets the majority of pledged delegates) he has my support in the GE. If he doesn't he needs to be a good soldier and support the nominee. As do his supporters. In the meantime I will humiliate anybody who tries to say Sanders is somehow getting screwed. This has been a fair race and he's been given every opportunity to state his case. Its not the DNC or Hillary's fault his campaign decided to not compete in places like Florida, Texas, North Carolina, or Virginia - 3 of which were won by Obama.
Meh. Anyone who has watched a track meet knows the race isn't over until it is over. Political parties are not religion. He doesn't have to do anything. I guess if I was a rabid Hillary supporter I would read your stuff and feel good. I am, however, an undecided person. If my Logic professor were in here he would make a lovely argument about circular logic. I am too lazy. Carry on.

Saw it yesterday. Trump and the Trumpettes will spin it as her being a disgruntled former employee, and that she's lying because Trump probably fired her. Nothing to see here.
My FB feed is full of that this AM, missed it yesterday. Was a bit surprised the "liberal mainstream media" didn't take this and run. when I watched the news yesterday I didn't' see anything about it.

No, he doesn't have to do anything. However, if he loses (which he is on track to do although the race hasn't finished) and he refuses to help the Democratic ticket win vs Trump or Cruz he'd be a grade A scumball or an idiot. Personally, I expect him to do the right thing.

les, is one of your kids really into Bernie by any chance?

Yeah, the campaign of the candidate that has been savaged for years as "Shrillary", is telling someone else to tone it down.

One kid. Not sure of his politics. I think he is still undecided.

It's over now, Scott walker endorsed Ted cruz

He may get that wall along the Canadian border built yet, which is good to hear. We Nodaks are sick and tired of seeing Manitobitans ski across the border to steal zamboni driving jobs.
