Reaganamics though took greed to brand new heights (depths?). It gave a pass to the 1% to f**k over anyone and everyone without need to be shy about it anymore starting with deregulation, forcing the middle class to fund the rich via taxes, continuing through to Citizens United and here we are. And they're not done. If they put even more choads onto the Supreme Court the U.S. will become the next Roman Empire.

People on Threads were talking about leaving right after Zuck bent a knee a couple months back. I was hardly the first to tune it out before the election the Trumpers had started migrating there en masse in September.

I still can't really get into Bluesky...its nice to be able to have separate feeds so I can avoid the politics if I do check it out but it still feels kind of...quiet? Maybe that is a good thing though as it doesn't try to get you to doomscroll for hours. Sooner or later though the people in charge will screw it up somehow.

Quiet is a common complaint but I think it's both intentional and a positive. You need to follow people for it to get "loud" thus controlling the volume. It won't serve you accounts unless you go to the For You or Discover feeds. But they kind of fall out of usefulness once you've gotten to ~100 follows.
 
Yeah like I said it is kind of nice not having it be a screamfest like most social media but it also doesn't make me feel the need to look at it either which kind of defeats the purpose. I am not really complaining about it mind you just not sure it is a long term viable option.

But I will definitely take that over whatever the heck Elmo turned Xitter into and Threads was trending the wrong way.

Hey Jim, why would UPS state there was severe weather or an emergency when they just couldn't make the delivery on time?

I was checking in periodically and watched the truck drive around the neighborhood on the tracking map. Then it just went blank when it hit the street just north of us.

Either a misclick or something happened with the truck (or, Parise forbid, the driver) is my guess.
