Add that with the cost of college tuition, and…you get the idea. Standards of living are dropping sharply for younger generations after coupled with relatively stagnant wages.

Young people whose family doesn’t have money are completely f’ed. It really is incredible how big of mess our country has made when it comes to housing and I think your stat is definitely in part responsible for the rise of trumpism.

The King of Destruction of all things good about the United States was elected to the Presidency. He took over Republican thinking for over a generation. Essentially until Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin/Tea Party is what we are living with now which is an exponent worse than Reagan. I think the Republican Party has devolved from the Tea Party at this point. Now deficits OR any sort of "balancing the books" has gone out the window. They love deficits as long as they come from things that they love. Like cutting taxes for rich people.

I don’t think assigning the Tea Party to today’s GOP is right. As soon as Paloma Dan other GOP officials got in on the act? Along with the Kochs funding various events, the Tea Party ended in all but name. This is the era of the Koch’s excessive influence.
