Is she also going to tussle Trump's hair like Jimmy Fallon did?

What's funny is Fallon got a lot of crap and hate for that (and rightfully so) and yet now he is more reviled than he was then. He is easily the most hated of the nightly comedy hosts...and lets be honest is also the least funny.

Unlike most of the people I see on Twatter (X) I will give Welker a chance. But, this better be the interview I have been waiting for and there is an incredibly high bar to clear. The media has been giving that clown a "bump up" over and over and over again. Remember that clown and that new rising star on CNN? Well, I do. The bar is high.

I don't even go on X anymore...but if she is going to be the host of Meet the Press her job is interviews like this so she has a chance. If she "Chuck Todds" it then she will never be taken seriously.

This interview will make or break the rest of her career. She better nail it.

Looks like Ford and GM are fairly close to resolving their contracts with the UAW. Stellantis seems to be digging in for the long haul.

Mary Barra seemed irked on CNBC this morning. Said they did a good job getting close to everything the Union wanted. I don't know how far apart they are, but I could see Dodge being the pain in the *ss holdout. Wonder if they'll agree with just Ford and GM while continuing to strike Dodge.

I’m worried about Mary. Did she say if she will have to learn how to feed herself if her 29M a year is reduced?

As a former big 3 engineer, I fully back the uaw this time. They gave up a lot in 2008, and have not fully recovered that.

The “losses” of EVs is a red herring. I got a massive profit sharing check last year for just working 3 months, so they are doing more than fine.

The UAW want secure income, not profit sharing, which can be nullified by a dumb decision or a quirkily calculation, so I totally get where they are coming from. The leaders tell us about their compensation, but not their bonuses-which are considerably larger, and not as constrained by their bad decisions.

Seems to me that paying more for labor will force the leadership to make better decisions. It really sucked to have an amazing year for you and your department only to have one short sided leader scrimp to save costing us billions in warrantee issues.

In the end, I’m glad I’m not there anymore.

I could definitely see Ford and GM agreeing to deals while Stellantis holds out. It’d be a huge marketing opportunity.

Btw, I personally find it funny how Stelantis is the one holding out, given the unions they have to deal with as well as the labor laws in the EU. They are majority French.
Aren’t they also the ones with a ton of plants in Mexico? Like way more than Ford and GM?

I found it interesting that they were reporting 40% increases for the bigwigs but then the bigwigs were whining about the workers wanting 40% increases. What's the problem?

Difference of opinion on the calculation. But the bigwigs get more regular and higher bonuses than everyone else. So it’s far more like salary than bonuses.
