Murdoch to retire from Fox News, his son Lachlan taking the reigns. Whether this is real or whether he's a figurehead is to be determined, as is the future of that miserable excuse for a journalistic entity.

An opportunity to repudiate their old model, just as it is cratering in value. He can live off the billions (trillions?) made milking the cowards but then make a big show of turning his back on them. That would be excellent sociopathic behavior.

Does he not understand she's the opposite of him?
  • Earned what she made
  • Has real abilities
  • Is sympathetic to humans
  • Apparently not a fascist
Partial credit here. Dad was a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch who had money and connections to kickstart her career, including being able to up and move her family to Nashville when she was 14.

I don't know that there's been a major star that's gotten started in the last 30 years that didn't have doors opened for them. Entertainment is the most gaited industry in the world.

Lil Nas X is the only one I can think of who comes close.

Good call. Is he a big star though? Well, whatever, that's a good example of what (ridiculous) controversy can do for you. I'm not sure he's stuck around that long after the initial dust up.
He’s still around, mostly shocking the squares by being openly gay and doing openly gay things. He had two more #1’s a couple of years ago when his album came out.

Ah, good for him. His genre is so far outside my radar I had little confidence in my knowledge of his popularity. For good reason apparently.

Him and Post Malone are two artists where I’m like “I don’t really understand everything but I enjoy that you’re successful.”

Lil Nas X for reasons as stated below, Post Malone because he’s really just a huge nerd who makes music so he can do really nerdy things with his money. I’m fairly certain 10% of the Magic: The Gathering economy is funded by Post Malone himself.

Oh, I didn't know that.

But I still swoon for my little ratface.

Granted, circa 2015.

UAW expanding the strike to more facilities against GM and Stellantis, Ford being spared due to their progress in negotiations.

Also, the UAW filed an NLRB complaint against Sen. Tim Scott for his “you strike, you’re fired” comments.”

The complaint was filed against Scott in his capacity as a representative for Tim Scott for America. In addition to being a senator representing the state of South Carolina, Scott is running for president, making him an employer as well. The premise of the complaint is that Scott’s comments could be construed as a direct threat against his campaign staffers, whose right to strike is enshrined in federal law.

When will these idiots learn that the new generation of union leaders are officially Not F-ing Around?

They are still used to the labor leaders and Democrats of 1980-2006, who were co-opted by the donor class and/or terrified from the beating Reagan put on them. That 26-year betrayal gave the Plutes everything. But it no longer exists anywhere except the media.

Ironically it’s the push for democratically elected union leaders that’s biting them. Funny how the regulations that they wanted to push out the mob influence are also pushing out the plute influence.
