Is that a joke?
Anyone doing it?

Yes, people are doing it. One interviewee said she refused to pay but later regretted it because she spent the next three months 'couch surfing' while looking for a new place to live. With England heading into a cold snap there are warnings about 'rough sleepers' freezing to death. As if warning them will change anything. They're not sleeping outside by choice.

Inflation down to 7.1% in November and still trending down. Average gas prices across the country now below the level they were at when Russia invaded Ukraine in February.

Pet peeve that the business AI systems need to get better at - getting ads for semi-durable products I just purchased and won't need again for awhile.

Like I bought some bone-conducting headphones a year ago. Love them since I can wear them while skating on the trail and still hear bikes coming up behind me, but I still get ads from the company to buy more. Unless I lose them, why would I need to buy another set less than a year later?
Or I just bought a few pairs of new jeans. I now get constant ads from that company to buy more immediately when I haven't even received the ones I already bought.

Thanks Biden!

Saw a station at $2.99 yesterday for the first time since last year. Given that OPEC has already been cutting their supply, it is apparently all being driven by demand as many people are battening down the hatches for a recession. Plus, I guess the CCP is threatening another winter of authoritarian "Zero COVID" lockdowns in China (you know, the kind of martial law "stay in or get shot" orders our far-right loons love to claim we almost had here) and that is dampening demand there as well. So, it seems Powell and the banksters will get their wish.

$2.51 in Missouri a week ago.

Around $3.75-$3.80 here in Idaho last I saw. But like many Western states, we are typically above average. Took quite a while to finally drop below $4. But since it did, it does seem to be dropping a little faster now.

Twitter has stopped paying rent and apparently also stopped funding severance packages.

Why pay? He's living rent free in all the libtard's heads! BANG POW! highfive.gif (insert meme here)

ETA: Mental note to fix the fucking adsense filter after work tonight.
ETA2: I'm so efficient I did it while working :) All better now.

Why fix the filter? Because that is how the site makes money. If Adsense sees a bunch of uncensored swear words and decides this is a "mature" site the ad revenue drops significantly. Although maybe USCHO Blue can be a thing. Let's ask Elon how well replacing ad revenue with paid monthly memberships turns out :)

Like 98% of users block ads on this site. Because they're obnoxious and some of the most intrusive I've ever seen. Who gives a fuck?

You sure didn't for like nine months.

Edit; the ads I got (and several others have as well) are just "Mature audiences only" ads that show some capital knockers. I'm embarrassed to read this site on my phone because the ads are so lewd.
