Also feeling less annoyed (still annoyed at the refs). I think we have been operating all year assuming BC and BU were the clear 1 and 2 teams in the country… turns out it was Denver.
From what I watched, DU handled BC in much the same manner that they handled us. Was the third period as lopsided in play towards BC as the SOG looked like? (I switched over to Bruins/Penguins once that started) The first two periods for sure favored DU.
How about the non so humble comments from Gauthier that now seem to be going semi viral? The only thing worse than getting your ass kicked is getting your ass kicked while wearing the fools crown of arrogance. What a douche.
Already looking forward to next season.

He (and everyone) was tired by the OT. That 5 hole goal was just a lapse as the game wore on. But yeah he stood on his head until that point. Outstanding game until he was worn.
BC had 2 power plays to amplify their shot total. They did make a charge with those, but Denver did a great job blocking shots and defending their zone the rest of the time. Very crisp short passes to start going the other way. I was impressed. BC was a little sloppy in the offensive zone and that ended plays as well.
I still think we should have been in that game with BC. I thought we outplayed Denver for the most part. I can’t say the same for BC. They got outplayed.
Well technically he wasn’t wrong - there were many tears on the Denver side after the game, tears of joy! Yes, a complete douche but he’ll fit in well with Zegras (he’s our douche) in Anaheim.

I'm not sure where you are seeing it, but that has to be an error. I mean he may have slipped on the draft boards over the course of the season, but he is still the second best goal scorer ever to come out of the USNTDP. It would be big news if his plans had changed for the fall.
