Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

I'm confused. So was that hyperbole or sarcasm or was that ah mustard all on my favorite clothes?

85er your masochistic tendancies are really starting to show...do yourself a favor and move on....puhlease, I beg of you.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

My comment about beer was making fun of your amateur coaching skills, as every loudmouth in the stands (especially the drunk ones) is a great monday-morning coach. While you may or may not be partaking of alcohol, your observations are about as valid as those who have had the 6-pack.

Clearly you don't know much about coaching or managing teams. I might suggest that you start - preferably with a youth organization so you can experience the whiney parents and coaches in the stands. You'll be amazed how fast you cut those not on-board with your program, even if it hurts in the win-loss column.

Which one of my observations was invalid?

And does realizing your coach could not have cared less for the past two years be simply interchanged with not being on board?

I think one of the biggest issues that an Ivy League coach is forced to deal with has been left out so far. They have players intelligent enough to call a coaches bluff as well as be able to figure out on their own when they’re getting screwed over.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

If people on this thread really want to make a difference in Brown women's hockey for the future, talk to the AD and the powers that be and suggest concrete steps that will reverse the current situation. Get everyone together including former players and alums with influence (re: donors) who can constructively develop a plan to turn the program around.

Otherwise, this looks like a lot of schoolchildren pointing fingers. The maturity level here is really embarrassing. You really think the coaches and administrators will take you seriously? Puhleeze.

Skate, if you read an earlier post by HCKY85, you'll realize that the AD is tied in tight with Digit. I think it's time to contact NCAA and ask for a full investigation of these alleged coaches and their practices. I think it would raise more than a few eyebrows at that level.

*****BREAKING NEWS******

Just got an interesting CP that notfromaroundhere is actually the Grand High Exalted Mystic Leader, none other than DIGIT herself. I'll go back and read over her posts and weigh in on the credibility of the CP later.

Feel free zero zero 7 but a word of caution. I would suggest someone other than yourself do the talking.

From the poor quality of your recent postings, I would question the validity of all of your observations.

Hey Karnac, besides reading the coach's mind, can you tell me what Hux is thinking about right now? Really, you can prove Digit didn't care about her players?

You clearly have had a disgruntled former player in your ear.

It doesn't take intellegence to call a coach's bluff. It takes stupidity if you aren't ready to deal with the consequences. And it takes a great deal of misplaced anger (and lack of loyalty to your teammates) to do so with the full intent of getting tossed.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

This is not Assabet. For one, parents there could buy their kid a spot on a winning team.

I'm really trying hard to stay out of this....but, this is statement is definitely unfounded. If you can't play hockey EXACTLY the way they want you to, you could be Bill Gates' daughter and you ain't playin'!

More likely to raise the roof from laughter than raise eyebrows.

Did you know gullible is not in the dictionary?

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

They're already laughing at you. Remember....he who laughs last, laughs longest.

That's funny, because they don't even know who I am.

Actually you are very funny. I can't even fathom why you posted that ridiculous message about me being Digit. You must be a newbie.

And the other version of that line is "He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke."

I don’t get how people just accept that Digit cut players because they might of questioned her commitment as a coach. If anyone were at Brown the past few years it’d be nearly impossible to not ask yourself that question.

But to cover up for her own interests in coaching at other schools by cutting players who actually just want the best for the program is absurd. Especially when these players do have legitimate concerns that deserve to be addressed. So I have a huge problem with a coach who’s just waiting around for another offer to come while cutting kids who actually want to play hockey at Brown.

If you’re going to end a kids’ hockey career for no apparent reason, at least do it with some decorum and don’t trash their reputations while slamming the door in their face.
