Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Skate, if you read an earlier post by HCKY85, you'll realize that the AD is tied in tight with Digit. I think it's time to contact NCAA and ask for a full investigation of these alleged coaches and their practices. I think it would raise more than a few eyebrows at that level.

You won't get the NCAA to step in unless there are flagrant rules violations by the coaches and/or the AD.

It it is true that the AD and Digit are joined at the hip, then you would need to approach the President of the University or the Dean. I'm not sure what the reporting relationships are at Brown.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

That's funny, because they don't even know who I am.

Actually you are very funny. I can't even fathom why you posted that ridiculous message about me being Digit. You must be a newbie.

And the other version of that line is "He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke."

Digit, Digit, Digit....now that's funny.:D

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

I don’t get how people just accept that Digit cut players because they might of questioned her commitment as a coach. If anyone were at Brown the past few years it’d be nearly impossible to not ask yourself that question.

But to cover up for her own interests in coaching at other schools by cutting players who actually just want the best for the program is absurd. Especially when these players do have legitimate concerns that deserve to be addressed. So I have a huge problem with a coach who’s just waiting around for another offer to come while cutting kids who actually want to play hockey at Brown.

If you’re going to end a kids’ hockey career for no apparent reason, at least do it with some decorum and don’t trash their reputations while slamming the door in their face.

If that is what you are hearing, you do have the disgruntled in your ear.

I'm sure there are things your friends are not telling you about the situation. You might be a good sounding board for them, but you don't need to be a megaphone.

Just curious, you've said you have only spoken to Digit for about 5 minutes at one of the camps your daughter went to. I might be wrong on this one, but I think you also said it was freshman on the Brown team that you knew? And apparently your not from around here. So what makes you think you know more about what happened at Brown than other people actually involved at the school?

You are wrong on that one. I don't personally know anyone on the Brown roster. Never said I did. You must be confusing me with someone else.

I don't claim to know more about what happens in the locker room at Brown than you do. And unless you are the proverbial fly on the wall (or one of the former players), you don't either. You may observe someone complaining about Digit, but it means you are repeating one (possibly embelleshed) side of a story. Knowing one side is only subjecting yourself to being spun. It has no certainty of being the truth.

You are simply adding to a chorus started by a dubious poster (ccookie79) who has a fairly simple objective - get 2 players back on the roster or get Digit fired - hardly a rational objective for the alleged parent of a freshman. Cookie is just eating up what you are feeding here, as she wants it to appear that Digit is widely unpopular. Perhaps cookie is the person in your ear and you are being used as a megaphone for her unscrupulous agenda.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Uh oh, you're in trouble now...Ccookie just jumped back in the water, and she's swimming this way...........

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Yes, you observed Digit telling her players she doesn't care for them. Yup. I know Digit is loud, but really, when did she say this?

It must be hanging out with the quote you got from the player you were talking about below.

It doesn't take intellegence to call a coach's bluff. It takes stupidity if you aren't ready to deal with the consequences. And it takes a great deal of misplaced anger (and lack of loyalty to your teammates) to do so with the full intent of getting tossed.

But I'm not going to argue with you about something that you may have been misinformed about. See, Digit's tales are the only ones that left Brown so I've actually heard both perspectives. But my intentions aren't to talk solely on one players situation, so I'll drop that matter and suggest you take what you hear with a grain of salt. Especially that beautifully manipulated excerpt.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

She must be writing a book....she's been circling for a while, but no attack yet. Can't you just feel the tension mounting though?

That is why it was a question?

Or about ten (possibly embelleshed) stories that all match almost perfectly.

You are simply adding to a chorus started by a dubious poster (ccookie79) who has a fairly simple objective - get 2 players back on the roster or get Digit fired - hardly a rational objective for the alleged parent of a freshman. I'm not going to argue to just argue, especially when the only thing holding up your side is hearsay. I’ve been taught the people who find the need to constantly defend themselves are usually the ones trying to cover something up. It’s just odd how many people actually heard a very one-sided version of different alleged events.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

You mean there is money to be made here? Is this an internet scam? :D

And you just get to sit in the box for fighting... ;)

Haven't you figured it out yet. How the aging Kookie gets lambasted on the boards and finally figures out she needs someone younger with more game to carry on her diatrabes and enlists a starving college student to do her dirty work for a fee.

I had that nailed 10 pages ago. C'mon guys keep up willya!
