Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

It seems the arguments pro and con on the Brown thread seem to have sadly become the primary form of entertainment for those on USCHO in recent months.

I still remember the good old days when the back and forth antics and inanities of the "BC Boys" and their foes were the prime form of entertainment on the board, with the BC thread usually at the top rather than Brown. My, the boys are awfully quiet this year!! I never would have thought I'd say this, but I really kinda miss them :o

I guess maybe they have grown up some over the years (who would have actually thought that possible ;) )...or maybe finally focusing more on their studies...but even reading them at their most annoying, and sorting through some of their associated drivel much of which had nothing to do with hockey at all, you could still always admire the fact that they were always at least passionate FOR and about, both the game of hockey and their team itself--regardless of their views or tactics.

It's sad that I really don't get that same sense in this thread that any of those with such passion AGAINST the coaching staff don't seem to show a similar passion FOR the team on the ice despite its perceived flaws, much less for the sport of hockey as a whole.

How many other hockey threads do the Brown anti-coach posters ever contribute to anyway?

That really says a whole lot.

If you think BC has no fans in the seats now, you should have seen it before Grant, Joe and Mike got there. We're going to miss them!

It says they care about whats going on a at Brown more than any where else. I don't know what else it says.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Oh my...I've been called many things...but I can't recall ever being called an athletic supporter before...or is that merely intended as a euphanism for its contents?

If you truly enjoy spending as much time in the rinks and locker rooms (ah, that means you are definitely American then :) ) as you claim, you'd most definitely also find great enjoyment in talking hockey more broadly with other fans of the game. Try it sometime. Then you'd find all the things we have in common, rather than just focusing on our differences.

Just being on this website alone kind of makes you a supporter of athletics. But what I would truly enjoy, is the players at Brown being both successful and happy. I'd enjoy that even more than talking on a forum.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Brown will have its best opportunity to win a game this weekend. It's Senior Weekend making it the last chance for the senior class to play on home ice in front of their family and friends. No matter the outcome, I hope that the seniors savor the moment, play to the best of their ability and have fun. Best of luck this weekend to the whole team!

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Wanted to wish the seniors the best of luck against Colgate tomorrow. I am really hoping that Senior Sasha Van Muyen will be cleared to play. Sasha, along with all the seniors, it has been a pleasure watching all of you play over the last four years. Go Bruno!

Listened to the game tonight and the announcers were pretty realistic about the team's performance this year with the following quote "the wheels fell off the wagon". Pretty much sums up a lost year.

CCOOKIE79 - do you think Digit will have tryouts next season? It was a great success this year, dontcha think?;)

Blah, blah, blah...they also mentioned the great improvement they've seen in this team over the year and while this is definitely a rebuilding year, the team has worked hard all season.

At game's end, the only comments they could come up with were "well, what can we say? They lost" "There's not much we can say".
But I was happy was hear them say they remembered the days whenof Nicole Brown and Amanda Asay were back on the D. The nostalgic moment brought tears to my eyes as Asay should still be there. What an outstanding player and person! It was nice to hear her be remembered so fondly. Who cuts a senior? That just plain mean!

The names of the expelled players have never been secret. Check posts dating back to 11/11/09.

Fan007, some of the parents were talking about her tonight too as a senior with a hockey career interrupted. Sad, really!

Now your complaining b/c some players moved from D to F?!?!? It happens all the time. That is probably the lamest complaint yet.

Read carefully, no complaint, just nice that the announcer took the time to remember an athlete that dedicated 3 years of her life to the team. I thought it was a top shelf move that she was recognized, especially senior weekend.

LOL, there's no way Matt wouldn't figure out what you meant. He's obviously trying to bait you. Asay was indeed one of the best from last year's team and it was nice just to hear that she has been remembered so fondly by those who know Brown Hockey. Nice!

No, I just misinterpreted what fan007 was saying. I now see she is one of the players no longer on the team.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

2-0 Brown after one period. Second goal, Sasha Van Muyen, assist Nicole Brown. Way to play seniors, keep it up!

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Nice job digit... Is it true that you had a 3-1 lead?????.....but some how you and the people on this thread will find a way to blame the girls......another loss .....4 to 3
