Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

I believe he/she just threw out 'how do we know Digit isn't someone on these boards'. I don't think cookie ever said he/she knew or had a guess on which poster was Digit.

Actually another poster threw out the question 'how do we know Digit isn't someone on these boards'.

Cookie responded in post 219 with

How do we know Digit's not posting here defending herself? I believe she is.

Cookie just doesn't like being called out on her nonsense. And as long as she keeps on acting as a players parent to destroy her daughter's coach in order to reinstate player(s) who are no longer on the team, I'll keep pointing out where she shows other crazy ideas and reminding her how she looks.

She is so much of a bad hockey parent. Brown deserves better.

Of course, I could be wrong. ccookie79 could be a disgruntled ex-player pretending to be the parent of a freshman. To this point we've taken her at her word as to who she is. Perhaps she is doing a disservice to the parents of Brown Hockey players by pretending to be one of them.

Of course, she won't come out and truly identify herself. But if she really is someone other than a parent of a Brown Hockey player, she is doing worse than who she pretends to be.

That's you calling the kettle black. My first posts were related to a siimple question that I asked. The fact that you and your likenesses chose to interpret it as anti-coach makes you - from your quote - "completely misinterpret my motives and continue to engage in poorly-substantiated charges".

You should not spew a moral high road to anyone when you've been one of the first to lose your way.

OMG ccookie...now who's the one making racist remarks?

:D :D :D

Post of the day

Please, please, PLEASE......can we keep this forum free of the mention of the likes of Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck.......etc.. Although some threads sometimes stray off into never never land, overall other than John Stewart, this is one of the last places I can go to unwind and relax.

Not that I'm a Sarah Palin fan, but your state DID vote for a former PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER for you governor. :D

Dead on. She may be the penultimate example of the incredible leadership void that exists in this country on both sides of the political divide.

Also please spare me the hockey mom angle

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Some situations aren't hers to address. If she would like to talk about her own or even one of her kids troubles as entertainment, by all means go ahead.

At least these kids made mistakes that a lot of kids do while there in college.

You guys are making the same mistakes typical for a 6th grader.

Like I said I have morals, I wish everyone could say the same.

As a leader in any setting, you are often left to deal with the fallout of difficult situations for which you had little to no control. Sometimes that means making tough decisions that may be very unpopular with those not understanding the whole context. So leadership also means the need for discreet and truthful explanations to the remaining members of your team for any unexpected changes that may be difficult for the team to accept and rebound from. That's much different than engaging in and propagating gossip and innuendo.

Haha were you advised by your defense counsel to edit that last post?

so if we talk about John Stewart, then we are allowed to stray off topic? Did you see John on The Factor with Bill O'Reilly? They talked about Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck....:D :D :D :D LOL just playing with you.

Now back to the endless biatching about the Brown program...

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

It seems the arguments pro and con on the Brown thread seem to have sadly become the primary form of entertainment for those on USCHO in recent months.

I still remember the good old days when the back and forth antics and inanities of the "BC Boys" and their foes were the prime form of entertainment on the board, with the BC thread usually at the top rather than Brown. My, the boys are awfully quiet this year!! I never would have thought I'd say this, but I really kinda miss them :o

I guess maybe they have grown up some over the years (who would have actually thought that possible ;) )...or maybe finally focusing more on their studies...but even reading them at their most annoying, and sorting through some of their associated drivel much of which had nothing to do with hockey at all, you could still always admire the fact that they were always at least passionate FOR and about, both the game of hockey and their team itself--regardless of their views or tactics.

It's sad that I really don't get that same sense in this thread that any of those with such passion AGAINST the coaching staff don't seem to show a similar passion FOR the team on the ice despite its perceived flaws, much less for the sport of hockey as a whole.

How many other hockey threads do the Brown anti-coach posters ever contribute to anyway?

That really says a whole lot.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Was glancing through the pages and a while back there was reference made to a few murders. Any self respecting lawyer would have established a motive by now, or at least before the case went to trial. What is Digit's motive? Just to be clear.

Please.... Could one of the Digit bashers answer the post above. If you can establish a sensible motive to Digit's actions, you may have a case. If you cannot I will hold you in contempt...

I would think that any self-respecting athletic supporter like yourself would have that answer.
Obviously, we are too busy at the rinks and in the locker rooms [;) for you hcky85] to spend more time than is necessary on this forum. Since I've only been a member for a relatively short period of time, I would say you don't know a whole lot about me to make any judgments. Just sayin.....

Oh my...I've been called many things...but I can't recall ever being called an athletic supporter before...or is that merely intended as a euphanism for its contents?

If you truly enjoy spending as much time in the rinks and locker rooms (ah, that means you are definitely American then :) ) as you claim, you'd most definitely also find great enjoyment in talking hockey more broadly with other fans of the game. Try it sometime. Then you'd find all the things we have in common, rather than just focusing on our differences.

If you think BC has no fans in the seats now, you should have seen it before Grant, Joe and Mike got there. We're going to miss them!
