Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Here's a Brown hockey question, not to divert from this wonderful conversation, but is Kelley Griffin, one of the team's freshmen players, injured, not suiting up or no longer on the team? She appears to have played only 12 or so games, the last being in November 2009, I believe.

She's injured, I'm pretty sure she either got surgery or needs to get surgery.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

And that is exactly my point, it’s not right.

Did you ever think that the original source of the info might have been someone other than Coach Murphy?

Nooooooooooooooo, of course you didn't.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Are we now making this a cross border dispute? 5 4 and CHG and a few others won't like that....

And are you sure that guy wasn't Digit?

Not only that but I've been labeled a HOSER on here. Hell I don't even like beer!

I'm a Scotch man...rub a little on a pregnant women's stomach she'll pass a boy, rub a little on a cat's testicles and it'll pass a motorcycle. :)

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

Thank you for assuring me that my motives for coming on this website were never fictional. I hope, as coaches you realize you’re there to set an example, not eat up gossip like an 8th grade clique.

What have you never made a mistake in college? Doubtful. But I bet your coaches had the common decency to not turn your blunders into a form of entertainment amongst coaches in the league.

I'm sorry, but varsity hockey players are public figures. You'll notice that quite frequently in the newspapers. It is an elephant in the room.

Re: Brown - Oops! They did it again.

So you have hurt feelings because you ASSUME Digit is behind the initiation of said public discussion. The fact that tongues wag doesn't mean that she should sit quietly and not squarely address the situation.

Some situations aren't hers to address. If she would like to talk about her own or even one of her kids troubles as entertainment, by all means go ahead.

At least these kids made mistakes that a lot of kids do while there in college.

You guys are making the same mistakes typical for a 6th grader.

Like I said I have morals, I wish everyone could say the same.

Are you really going to apply the same code of conduct to coaches and student athletes?

And you can find a confidentiality clause in a coaches’ contract. So thank you for giving us more hope that Digit will be fired.

Please, keep helping us out.

Digit's team.

Player was on Digit's team (that player wasn't forced to participate on) and did things that negatively affected the team. Therefore it is Digit's to issue to address as she sees fit.

Everyone has morals. You are just confusing yours with hurt feelings.

Then it was Coady? You can tell by the details of which you included and omitted, that it started from a coach at Brown.

Gawd I'm good, Harvard Law here I come. Hope you're ready for me Hux!

Nope, that is actually not what is said in the confidentiality clause.

Your use of reasoning here clearly disqualifies you from Harvard Law, if that is what you are hanging your argument on...

The board should shut this thread down.
Or maybe you should stop logging on to this thread. Free speech? Not in your country?
Just to clarify, the applicable standard here is not the freedoms guaranteed in the US or any other country, but the rules of USCHO, which each of us agreed to abide by when we registered. Some of the guidelines are spelled out here. But yes, admin can close or delete threads, suspend or ban posters, without violating anyone's constitutional rights.

So I should be saving into a word document, alrighty then.
