Apparently 1999 Kevin Millwood (18-7, 2.68) was pitching tonight. Yeesh, wake up offense!

Brewers' Rodriguez unhappy with role

On Tuesday, reliever Francisco Rodriguez told a national baseball columnist that he wasn't happy with the lack of save opportunities he's had since the Milwaukee Brewers traded for him in July.

When asked about his comments a day later, Rodriguez didn't back off.

"I wasn't lying," he said before the Brewers' 6-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.

"There's been plenty of save opportunities, and I've pitched once in the ninth inning and it wasn't a save.

"I'm not happy. That's the bottom line for me. They told me one thing; they haven't done it. And I stand by what I said.

"I'm not lying. I'm not creating something out of nowhere. I'm just saying the facts, and that's pretty much it."

I read that quote the same day I read that Prince said hey pretty much wouldn't be back.

If it is unravelling, both are playing for a contract with other teams next year (I could be wrong about K-Rod), which is good incentive to showcase how good you are this season.

K-Rod's comments make me appreciate Trevor Hoffman even more.

And everyone already knew Prince was leaving even if he never said it. I don't mind him saying it - but the timing is odd. He could've waited until after the season.

nice to see the offense wake up. now if the **** Cardinals would just cooperate.

I am going to have a big dilemma if it turns out they can clinch on Wednesday. Tickets are still available and it's a day game.

The only thing better than clinching vs the cubs would be doing it vs the cards. :)

My finger is hovering over the panic buttom. 2 out of 3 to the Cubs? The offense disappears again, and the starting pitching doesn't support it this time.

This is all getting a little too close. The Marlins have been playing well, and Pittsburgh is probably DYING to play spoiler. A Cardinals loss today would help a little bit. I DO NOT WANT THE CARDINALS IN THE PLAYOFFS. DO YOU HEAR ME, ATLANTA?????

I am going on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, but I would rather not see the clincher then. :p

Something changed a few weeks ago. This isn't the same club that had swagger and walked into the STL airport with cowboy outfits.

Don't worry. I managed to ruin my 50-1 Brewers World Series Champs Vegas Ticket that would have won me $1000. They'll find a way ;)

If Marmol is up to it tonight we get to say something for the first time in 3 decades. I hate to say it, but it didn't bother me to see them lose a couple in Chicago this week to ensure this happened in Milwaukee. Our fans deserve it.

Hopefully the Giants can play some ball this weekend.

I won the NLDS lottery! Too bad Im pretty sure I won't be able to attend.
