Question: How many here stopped rooting for the Patriots this season after Edelman was arrested?

You honestly don't see the difference? Are you drunk?

Edit: Not in the actions but in the different teams you support & the circumstances surrounding such.

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

This is beyond sad. It is shocking and disgusting. If the charges are proven true, I hope the young man has several years in prison to contemplate what his life might have become.

I don't know anything about the culture of this team or the quality of the kids on it. I suspect that very few here do. I think someone at the University needs to look a little deeper into what is going on where we have 2 of these incidents in one year.

I would like to point out that the "Parker is too easy on these guys, let's them run wild, and thus is responsible for a culture of sexual assault so he must go" narrative really don't fit with the "Parker is a hard *** dinosaur who doesn't connect with the younger players, he kicks them off the team for minor infractions, makes them do punishment bike runs for breaking archaic team rules and throws them under the bus, so he must go" narrative. Which is not to say one isn't true, but both can't be.

I feel terrible for the victims, foremost. I feel terrible for the players on this team who wouldn't do something like this and are now tarnished by it. I feel terrible that this team was a feel good story about overcoming obstacles and coming together as a team and being quality guys and now that's gone. Mostly, I just feel terrible.

I'm very sorry to hear what happened,we are praying for Nicastro,Trivino and all involved, these are good young men who may have made some bad decisions if these allegations are even true,I'm sure coach Parker will get to the bottom of it and hopefully they and the families involved can heal from it and move on,BU has a fine program and I'm sure it's integrity will carry it through this tough time.wishing the Terriers fans a good playoff season!

Yeah, but that $25,000 bail tells me that this one has more legs to it.

FWIW Bail is to insure that the defendant shows up in court. It is not intended to be punitive in nature. My guess is at the arraignment which will take place on Tuesday, there will be a stay away order imposed and more than likely a more reasonable bail once the defense attorney gets an opportunity to advocate for his client. This could be difficult particulalrly if the alleged victim lived in the same dorm. Any type of restraining order usually requires no contact, directly or indirectly with the victim. Where I work we had an incident where a former spouse got an RO and both worked in the same location. We had to move one for the protection of all parties.

Nevertheless it is not a good thing at all.

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

He's probably referencing me bringing up proven factual inaccuracies in the story of the Trivino victim.

I missed that part again apparently. What was reported as inaccurate? That she thought she had to open the door as an RA?

She claimed there was a policy dictating RA's always had to open the door to their room if anyone knocked, even if they felt they were in danger, which would be supposedly why she opened her door three times when Trivino knocked on it, despite feeling in danger as a result of him repeatedly knocking. There is absolutely no such policy.

That makes it ok then. It's her fault. Good to know.

Hey top story on Channel 7!

 Point out to me where I said that! Not her fault it happened at all, Trivino's the one who acted like a drunken fool and initiated the whole thing, then took it way too far once inside the apartment. My only point is, if you want to evaluate the whole situation objectively, it's something that cannot be overlooked, especially for those who want to call him a rapist and throw him in a jail cell to rot away for the rest of his life. Not assigning "fault", but he's charged with breaking and entering, among other things, and this is a key fact relevant to that charge.

Trivino was the top story too that night, glad they're being consistent!

I can't believe we're still talking about Trivino...

Honestly, just looking at this logically, that is not even relevant. She opened the door, she reported that she opened the door. Those are facts in the case. That she thought she had to is not really a fact in the case. When she opened the door there were no crimes committed. He still busted in uninvited and sexually assaulted her. Were any charges dropped as a result of her not knowing the RA rules?

The fact you keep bringing it up seems like it is an attempt to discredit the victim and thus question the entire story she reported. And I find that ridiculous.

God help me for even thinking of chiming in to this nonsense..... but what I think what his point might be is that you guys are going around calling them rapists, while what happened though horrific and despicable, was less than rape (at least in Trivino's case). Throwing around the rape word is a pretty serious thing.

Ha, too late. Though it is good to see Federal League hold his own quite nicely. :)

Well it looks like TimP, SteveF, and the ol' snooker had posts removed in the carnage while the mod had it locked up. Any other victims? :)
