Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

I think everybody agrees if the Nicastro incident is what we're all assuming it is that both incidents were BEYOND unacceptable (really, how was what Corey did only *normal* unacceptable?). I'd bet money that the only reason Max hasn't been fully kicked off the team yet is because Parker is waiting for the investigation to conclude to be sure he's guilty. If he's found guilty and somehow still isn't kicked off I'll have a bring problem with the program, until the investigation is over though this seems like the proper course of action.

This is the proper action at this time, if all you had to do was make an accusation to get a guy kicked off the team, there'd be a lot more accusations.

And it should be noted that quite a few of the circumstances surrounding Trivino were subsequently proven to have been exaggerated or untrue.

If this happens once, it can be seen as a problem with just that one person. If it happens multiple times, it seems more like a pattern with the program.

I understand that... I just don't think that makes what Corey did any less than beyond unacceptable. I think we may be getting involved in semantics at that point though.

You're absolutely right. It says something about the season and the state of the program right now that when all of us saw this story I'll bet not one of us thought, "No, that can't be true, not our boys." Something needs to change drastically and quickly. This players have gotten it in their heads that they're more than normal humans and what's worse is that even what happened with Corey it seems they can't look out for each other and remind each other that they're not.

I wonder if any recruits might de-commit because of all this bad publicity. Surely not going to help with their recruiting going forward....

As someone who has followed the team closely for over 40 years, that was my first reaction.

I've had about enough. Bad product, a lot of bad kids, high prices, and they don't win at home.

BU Hockey: What's a center ice trap?

So Max is innocent until proven guilty. Fine. Is there an attorney in the house that can wager a guess as to the severity of the charges based on the $25,000 bail?

25K seems like a lot of scratch for something that isn't very serious. Don't get me wrong, it's all very serious.

Well, if I was a recruit parent, I'd be talking to my kid and BU right now. And if my daughter lived amidst any other hockey players, I'd want that situation changed, ASAP.

Which circumstances are those?

As we learned from the Duke lacrosse scandal and the BC T incident (which, let's be honest, was a walk in the park compared to these BU issues), rushing to judge here would be a bad idea.

I'm assuming he means that many people thought he had broken into her room and / or raped her and had to be physically stopped when it ended up that he kissed and fondled her and in the end stopped of his own accord. I'm not saying that's not horrific or awful but when bonanza is suggesting there were things about that story that weren't AS bad as people had originally thought I think that's probably what he means.

Lets face it, this program has been going down hill on the ice for close to 15 years; and now the program is falling apart off the ice. At Parker's age, I just can't see any reason to keep him around after this year; I mean come on, do you see him rebuilding the program at this stage of his career? This is starting to sound a lot like Penn State and Paterno - two, over the hill, has beens running programs into the ground amidst sexual debauchery. I actually feel bad for the good BU fans.

Trivino stopped on his own?

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

"The residents we spoke to for this story named Nicastro as the worst offender in on-floor behavior"

perhaps as a public service the freep should megan's law the others!

Trivino stopped on his own?

"Trivino reportedly left the room at the student’s insistence, and she called the Boston University Police at about 11 p.m. Police arrived a short time later and placed Trivino under arrest."

-BU Today

I think I misused the word accord earlier. I guess that would technically mean he left without being asked to leave. I meant he stopped when he could have continued and nobody physically intervened.

Are you being serious?

That's what I was saying in December. The parallels are uncanny! Well, I disagree with a few points: I like the direction that SUx2BU is going, and I haven't met a single good BU person. My family learned long ago to not hire those dolts for help on our estate.

You're a terrible person.
