How have we not talked about "shake-gate" yet? :)

Parker walked out of the line before Vinny got there. After the game, said they didn't shake hands because "Vinny didn't shake my hand." Not a class move by Parker, he clearly snubbed him. Extend a hand to honor his career.

PC is listed 4th. BTW, other than getting an easier path to the Garden, apparently beating MC won't help you guys in the PWR.

correct. mc dropped from .5064 to .5019 after tonights loss. bu advances and they'll go under .500 and 'so long' to that 3-0-0 tuc record boost :(

wrong.

vincent had ample opportunity to show it was a one-time thing and shake his hand. no reason to continue to let some *** show you up (which is what it is). jack, when he met the nu staff at center ice after the game, mentioned behind him while shaking madigan's hand. i am old with bad eyes but knew then he was giving a heads up that he was going to walk back after he was done shaking the rest of the nu squad.
no.reason.what.so.ever. to give 'mr 99' the satisfaction.

at this point vincent is making his coaching staff look bad. act like a man.
does anyone for one minute think jrrwy would condone that??

Again, as I've said about four times now (five since I cut and pasted this from the other thread)...we KNOW the only way we're going is to get to the Hockey East Championship game. Period. The same cr*p happened last year. Everyone was so worried about the PWR that they forgot about just winning games. Hate to say "I told you so" (well, no I don't ), but these players should worry less about checking the numbers on their iPads and just concentrate on winning games. It's not a ludicrous thought for BU to win 2-3 from Merrimack and at least have a good shot to win the following Friday. It's not like the league is great this year and/or has a totally dominant team.

I mean, would you rather play Providence???

Jerry would have shook Saponari's hand.. because that's who Jerry York is. Not taking sides here.. but that's the difference.
Oh well, g'luck in the playoffs.. Parker is way out of touch with today's player.. & you don't need tonight to know that. :)

reading comprehension :D

jrrwy would have slapped vincent in the back of the head and said, "you will stay in line and shake that man's hand!"

You don't think anything can happen in ONE game?

What if Vermont beats them? Whatever happened to J Carter anyway???

..good point. And my point stands as well. :)

Re: Boston University season thread - strike 3! last man there turn out the lights.

I'm just saying the same thing I say every year. You had the whole season to put yourself in a position to be "safe" with the PWR. What good does it do now to start looking at all these improbable scenarios? What about the losses to Harvard and Northeastern? I mean, we can go on and on but the reality is they didn't play well enough to get in as a Top 16 team, so now they have to do it the "hard" way. But given the schizophrenic nature of this team, I'm just saying "on any given Friday..." :)

well your point also is way out on a limb assuming vincent was going to extend his hand (which mookie gave a 0.00001% chance of happening :D)

I have a headache after reading mookie's version of what happened

Using CHN's PWR predictor, MC would drop out with two losses, (no option for a game three on their site yet), but without filling in other results, it would not drop BU out of the top 16.

Yeah, but as I also said...the Top 16 isn't good enough because you have to allow for a "non" Top 16 team winning a conference tournament and bumping someone out. Even if it IS possible, it's very unlikely that we get in unless we get to the championship game.

You should, it is exactly the opposite of what happened. Vinny was holding up the NU line because he was taking extra long handshakes with all of the BU seniors he had played with. There was a large gap between him and the NU player in front of him in line, with a line of BU players waiting to get to him. Parker was behind the 5 or 6 BU guys, and when he got to that NU player long in front of Vinny, walked out of the line instead of waiting for Vinny to get to him. That is precisely what happened. In fact, pictorial proof: https://twitter.com/brad_berk/status/310605208470302720/photo/1

Vinny never had a chance to get to Parker in the line before Parker walked out of it. It was clear as day to anyone paying attention who snubbed who.

well, the boys just completed their 6th '2 game winning streak' with a chance to now have their first '3 game winning streak' :D
