I bet it's announcing a contract extension!
The Warriors five penalties in the third period all came in the final 7:16 to play thus precluding any type of comeback!I haven't noticed the "hanga" approach too much this year (although they have used in the past, and I certainly recall it specifically against BU).
The ""goon it up" stuff is really disappointing, a reversion to their modus from previous seasons. They seemed to have moved away from that type of play this year, being significantly more disciplined, playing tight defense while still being physical.
And, as Harry Cleverly said, BU owns the Warriors, especially at Agganis.
Hmmmmm..... just got this in an email from Agganis Arena. Could an announcement be in the works?

Coach Parker Presentation during second intermission
Methinks we are not seeing anything that big... but who knows?
Where Jack has said he doesn't want a farewell tour, I think that he would be agreeable to a short one, so from a timing perspective, I think it works. BUT, this is not how I would see it happening - UNLESS, between now and then, a letter/announcment from Mike Lynch, or even Bob Brown, is circulated. Something along the lines of "Men's ice hockey coach, and the face of BU hockey for nearly 50 years, Jack Parker, has informed me that he would like to step down from his duties as head coach at the conclusion of the 2012-1013 campaign."
An announcement over the PA system, which makes it very difficult to understand what Jack is saying, in between periods....that ain't how it's going to go down, whenever it does.
From years of watching the Red Sox, I've learned to to get overly optimistic until the game is officially over. In this case, I won't start anticipating until I hear it from Parker directly. I agree it makes sense to announce the weekend before the last regular season game as that's usually reserved for the seniors. I also can see the logic in giving him one more year after the task force handed down its recommendations. Perhaps that's why its release was delayed. Either way, at the game this week I found one person who thought he should coach out the rest of his contract and like 7 who said this needs to be his last year no question. I'm guessing that ratio would hold for the BU hockey community at large.
My thoughts on how long he should go would be equally based on who the replacement would be as it would be on his coaching performance of late. If Quinn was quietly contacted and offered/accepted the position, I'd say Jack should most definitely step down at the end of this season. If it's a Jack step down then let's go see who we can find to replace him, I'm a bit more skeptical.
Caveat: I don't know enough about Sullivan to include him in that scenario.
Am I the only one who is not totally sold on Sullivan or Quinn?

I'm not sold on Sullivan, never been a college coach at any level, not sure why he is suddenly can't miss. Who, if anyone, are you sold on?

I'm not sure who I'm sold on... that's why I keep trying to get people to throw out other options and ideas (which nobody really does). I think Quinn was here for some of the years that have been called the "kaka" years as well, and his years at lake eire didn't seem that impressive (at least on paper... i have no idea what the dynamics were up there)... Sullivan has no college experience and I saw his Bruins team quit on him...
Thats all I'm saying.
