Boston University Part IV: Off-Season or New Season?

Re: Boston University Part IV: Off-Season or New Season?

Redd, I'm asking a simple question. Do you think, based on whatever criteria matters to you, that Noonan will turn out to be a better player than Gilroy, and take your pick (Connoll, Gill etc) will be better than Wilson? What I'm saying is I'm not expecting that. If you are, step up to the plate and tell us.

all i'm saying is that it's a little early to say that they won't be as good as those guys. do i think noonan will be the next gilroy? hell no. gilroy was much more of a skilled guy than noonan appears to be thus far. but could he mean a lot to this team in the next 3 years? absolutely. same with the coyle/wilson comparison. they played on different BU teams and coyle is young yet. maybe next year he comes out and drops 50 points for us. maybe he comes out and only has 26 again. who knows? it's just too early to jump to conclusions, and that's my point.

Re: Boston University Part IV: Off-Season or New Season?

Just to clarify a point made earlier by mpereira, Adam Clendening did not pick BU over BC. He picked BC, but Coach York thought he was dragging his feet and Clendening didn't give him a clear answer if he was coming to BC or not. So York pulled the offer. He didn't want to be left holding the bag.

Warsofsky transcript. I'm not gonna lie, there's really nothing earth-shattering in there.

Well for those who said his game wasn't NHL ready, his intermission interviews are already there. He used multiple paragraphs to say nothing, and I'm pretty sure would have used up all the allotted time before the network had to move to their next Bud Light commercial.

We gotta play em one day at a time.

I'm just glad to be here, and hope I can help the ball club.

But if you aren't a fan of Parker's style, you can read a criticism of him into Warsofsky's words.

Or he has already been told by his agent and the team that there is nothing positive that comes out of insightful comments made during interviews with athletes (especially rookies with a few weeks time in)...if there have been athletes that have benefitted from offering a profound view on a sensitive subject, since Ali, it has been few and far between.

With all due respect to the interviewer, who sure tried to delve into possible problems with the team/program, that nature of inquiry is what breeds that nature of response. The both 'did their job' in my view, the asker needs to try to go there, who knows when the next Dennis Green or Mike Gundy outburst may arise, and David did his by protecting him, his franchise and those who have supported him.

It's not like great answers there would have had him on MTP this weekend or a steady gig on the speaker circuit.

And if you arent a proponent of pro life policies you can read into it that Warsofsky agrees with you. Doesn't mean your assumptions were correct.

End of the day, DW was a classy kid and took the high road. JP on the other hand as usual blamed 67% of the team for not performing. Eventually the mirror needs to be looked into.
