Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread: Part III: Now What?
2. Agreed also on the loss of #6. He'd been playing well and this team isn't deep.
3. And likewise puzzled by the empty seats. If being something like 12 and 2 isn't a good enough run to draw in even casual fans, what would?
Finally, speaking of 3, I had a bad feeling when I saw that it was #3 who was on last night's ticket. No such problem tonight.
1. Agreed, it wasn't a stinker. I don't know if anyone has seen the charts, but it seemed to me that BU had a bunch of Grade A opportunities. Woulda, shoulda, and coulda, but just change two things (the failure to clear and a short-side goal) and we would have gone home smiling. I'm sure the Mainers can catalog their near-misses, too, but overall I thought BU had the edge.6 weeks? Ugh... definite big loss... hope they can sort it out.. . . . Either way I'm looking for the team to rebound and I'm predicting a win. They looked kinda flat last night, but at the same time it was in no way a stinker of a performance. I thought they were playing particularly well in the first period. Maine made some adjustments and a lesson learned is to stay out of the penalty box against one of the best power plays in the country. . . Lets go tonight and lets hope the crowd shows up with a bit more enthusiasm than last night.
