On paper, recruiting has been pretty even--which brought me to my first point of OVERALL player/team development...York wins that.

As for the local talent, I'm not gonna pretend to know which kids chose BC over BU. It does seem like BC has been getting more of the local talent, but perhaps BU has a different recruiting philosophy.

According to the DU thread, this is what will be happening, so one game for each I assume. Didn't you play two at DU this season? Wouldn't that mean they'd be making another trip east in 12-13 then? That's how BU's deal with Michigan went.

BC aside, what programs have had excellent decades? Denver? FF 2x (back to back). Perhaps NoDak; they went 6 times, but only won once. Minnesota won 2 titles (back to back) and was in the Frozen Four another time. They were bounced in the first round three times as well and have just one NCAA win since 2005. Wisconsin was 1-for-2 in the 2000s. Maine went 0-for-5 in Frozen Fours in the decade.

So of the list of the top programs of the decade in terms of Frozen Fours, which would you rather be?

That is better than BU??

03-04: Lost in Regional Final

06-07: Lost in Regional Final
07-08: Lost in first round
08-09: Missed tournament
09-10: Missed tournament

Great first five years, bad latter five years.

So what do we know for OOC games as of now?

Beanpot (2)
vs. Denver
vs. Holy Cross
RHH

I remember hearing whispers about a trip to Notre Dame to open their new building, too. Not sure what the status of that is.

ETA: Safe to assume there won't be a Harvard game since they play in the first round of the Beanpot. Would be nice to see the series with RPI continue.

A few thoughts on the email.

1) Kind of early to be pushing for renewals. Why the rush? :D

2) I never thought I see an renewal email that would promote 2 home games against Merrimack as a positive! Will they be a higher priced game next year!?:eek:

3) Interesting that they will no longer make us automatically buy HE QF tickets.

Second semester senior year + already having enough credits to graduate = easiest semester ever. Six-day weekend for me (minus my internship), although today doesn't really count because I did have class; I just didn't go because I have the flu.

MSU and BU each one a title while MSU also went to a FF in 2001. Isn't 2 > 1???

i was promised a series at lynah years ago to follow up RHH..... I'M STILL WAITING!!!!! :mad:
i heard whispers of a trip to the Ralph. that would be preferred over more RHH.

i like a campus.

email had 17 home games. 13 are HEA (we have 14h/13a this year). +DU, +the Cross. 15. one exhibition (i hope only 1). 16.

that leaves one more.
of the 2 remaining OOC next year, one single trip. rpi was there this year. so if that keeps on keeping on that's our last home game.

time to guess where we'll be heading for a single.........

also means no christmas tourney, no opening season tourney.
