Re: Boston University 2010-11 part II - The Hunt For Red November

doesn't bc have a student paper? don't they have someone who covers the team?

yeah, The Heights........check the link out and read all about the hockey team on the front page, NOT! you would think we dont have a hockey team. Granted it was break but we were in a tourney. I did see somewhere a write up on the BU game but when york is questioned it's always about the games etc. then again, since the motherwell thing it's been rather quiet here and thats a good thing. but as i have said before, it's Kremlin like or so it seems. we dont even get updates on injuries, instead getting info from some of the posters who are close people in the hockey program

Someone may have mentioned this previously, but Charlie Coyle is mentioned in Pierre McGuire's "In the Crease" column in SI this week. PM writes that CC may be a steal for SJS and that "It would not be surprising if Coyle left school after one season for the NHL."

Fed, JP took Courtnall down the tunnel for a moment after he scored his goal. Any idea what that was about?

Re: Boston University 2010-11 part II - The Hunt For Red November

It showed on TV, JP giving him a hug and congrats on his first collegiate goal.

To the best of my memory, this is the first instance in which JP has taken a player down the tunnel for the purposes of hugging. It's always been a very animated, albeit one-sided, conversation.

That picture of the Dartmouth player on the USCHO front page -- that uniform jersey looks very much like BU's 4th, doesn't it? At least from that angle.

:cues whining about "why does BU get on the front page all the time?":

I'm watching the BC - Maine game on CBS College Sports.

Can someone tell me what "jam" is? The color analyst uses that term frequently. For a minute, I thought I had a handle on it, but then he used in an entirely different context. Now, I'm confused.

I have a friend who complained about how many times Starman said "jam" during the World Juniors. It's a bit of a tick.

My new home (Amesbury) also has very BU-looking colors. Amesbury borders Newburyport, so the rivalry is all over the place.

I lived in Amesbury briefly a couple years back and really enjoyed it. go to The Barking Dog

Good call. I've actually been there about 4 times already. Great gang there. The same owners run Firehouse BBQ and the Ale House.
