I'd love to go as BC-Dartmouth games always give me the warm and fuzzies but I think I have some family stuff going on tonight. So, no dice.

Hopefully they bounce back with a nice win here.

Other than the first 5 minutes of the game, the BC vs Dartmouth game seemed pretty even. BC got out quickly and did control most of the first period action; but then fell victim to the mystery penalty calls that seemed to have all in the stands (about 78 of them) scratching their heads. Constantly being short handed totally changed the flow of the game and resulted in alot of mid ice and just dumping the puck type of action. Overall a good win for BC as Dartmouth has been highly touted by some; so better to win outright than lose or tie. Stack and Schaus continue to make big plays and the remainder of the team looks so much stronger than last and are consistently contributing (HE Stats reflect BC's conference and non conference scoring balance). The result, nine wins and a solid season thus far.

Big game tomorrow. Anyone going? I'll be in NJ for the Giants game.

Can anyone else still hear the *PINGGGG* from Welchie's goal in Durham last year? Possibly my #1 highlight from an otherwise forgettable season.

will try to catch the game on the web broadcast. most topped ranked teams have won this weekend, so BC will need a good game to beat UNH on their home ice. i believe the pre game press release indicated that bc is 1 win and 20 losses at the witt. big ice and a tough place to play. will look for dc78-82 on the jumbo tron in between periods.

go eagles.

Can't believe I watched 56 minutes of today's game before having to race out to get to another event; although i was quite surprised when i learned that bc scored 3 goals in the last 3 minutes for the victory. thanks to "tony the tiger20" for the text with the good news. i thought bc did outplay unh for the majority of the game and the shots on goal support this view point. unh goalie played very well and of course bc's goalie made the big saves when necessary. once again, thank goodness for stack and her perseverence. there is a reason why she is an olympian.

go eagles.

Regardless of UNH's struggles, that's a fantastic win for BC, to come back and steal a late win in what has historically been a house of horrors. Well done & onward!

Nice to see the BC band at the women's game today - hurry up and get here! 1-1 after 1. If BU's coach and goalie can make it to the game, why can't you?

There is a skate with the team following the game.

maybe the band should show up more often as the team is responding in a BIG way with a 6 - 2 kabashing over harvard with 12 mins remaining. looks like a fairly good crowd for the eagles and glad to see they are entertaining those that were able to attend.

Awesome win, wish I could have been there. This team looks really good heading toward the break. There's something very satisfying about beating UNH, Dartmouth and Harvard in a short period of time. I know they're all having down years, but still.

After seeing the two BC-BU games I give BC a very, very, very slight edge in what looks like it will be the battle for top team in HE. BU is really good too, though. Should be fun.

Re: Fire Kingedy?

Re: Fire Kingedy?

That's a pretty historic beatdown BC just laid on Harvard.

The only worse regular season defeats for Harvard I can think of are the 6-1 pair of losses to UMD in 05-06 (also one to Princeton that year) and the 6-0 loss to Providence in 01-02.

To find a regular season game in a non-Olympic year where Harvard lost by 4 goals, I think you'd have to go back to 1996-97 (oddly enough, last year's probably the best Olympic year they've ever had, though the 05-06 team did win ECACs)

Re: Fire Kingedy?

All in all, a good season so far at the break. Hoping that someone steps up and becomes a more consistent scoring threat behind Stack - I think Bizzari has great potential.

Re: Fire Kingedy?

Re: Fire Kingedy?

I think Stack's exceptional scoring efforts skew this situation. Other than BU, BC has the most players with more than 15 points on a team in Hockey East. Seems that this would be considered an asset versus a liability.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

With the first half of the season coming to a rapid end, looks like there are several elite teams (Wisco, Cornell), some very good teams (UMD, Mercyhurst, BU, BC) and others just slightly behind (Minnesota, Ohio State, Providence, Northeastern, Bemidji). I may have missed one or two others, but with only 8 teams making it to the NCAA Tournament, I would think each game, regardless of whom you are playing is important. With this in mind, I don't understand why BC does not lobby to have their game on December 31 moved since they will be minus 5 of their key players that will be at the Holiday Camp. A suggestion would be to move the game to January 2 and still play at Princeton. A quick look at each team's schedule shows that Princeton is scheduled to play Clarkson at Princeton on January 3 while BC is scheduled to play Yale at Yale on January 3. Seems like it would work assuming you could get a ref crew to adjust and the rink to be available (can't imagine they don't have a 2 hour slot available on January 2). Seems very doable with a little bit of effort and getting the 5 girls back from the Holiday Camp will certainly help. For what it is worth, Princeton has 1 player participating in the Holiday Camp. Any thoughts??
