Re: Boston College Hockey 2010-2011, Part II - We Still Have Jerry York. Sorry, Every

The thinking behind the comment that we may see Milner this weekend was in terms of implications for the national tournament. If we lose on Friday then we wouldn't see Milner. If we win on Friday, however, a sweep could easily push UNH down in the Pairwise to a #4 seed. With the mix of Yale being a solid #1 seed, and UNH being a first round conference match up, we could be sending ourselves west with a sweep. There are obviously a lot of moving parts with this with the conference tourney, etc. But I believe that was the thinking.

Not true! I'm a student also, and I read all the time, I just don't usually post.

well start posting more;) and, yes, that is what some of us were getting at,that for NCAA seeding with us in Manchester a sweep may not be good but i dont think we have to worry about that. these are going to be two great close games, i see a split. and if UNH were to win tonight we are the ones who will get swept! tonight is huge for BC!

A) It is absolutely insane for you to think that York would try to lose a game especially at this time of year.
B) York has always said that he wants the team to go West. Personally I never want him to have that wish come true.

Senior night tonight! Congratulations to Brian Gibbons, Stephen Greenberg, John Muse & Joe Whitney, three-time National Champions!

i hope you didn't just put the kiss of death on us Melissa;)...........i don't think he was implying that York would ever do that though:confused::)

I agree. Maybe... MAYBE if we knew the math and it was the LAST game in D1 before the selections came out maybe. But at this point, last RS weekend, so much going on... not in a million years.

B) York has always said that he wants the team to go West.

Really? That surprises me a bit. They do well going west on road trips and to the FF and did well in their two western regionals (which were tough as HECK!) but still, they've done so well locally in the regionals as well.

I agree, I don't think that that would ever happen. I think we will see Muse in every game left in the season. That was just the thinking of why we MAY see Milner on Saturday if we win tonight. Like I said, I don't think it will happen because there are so many moving parts and important games left in the season.

Should be two great games, though, I've never been to a game at the Whitt, so I'm excited to go!

I just wonder why it has taken so long for this to develop. Don't get me wrong, I love the increased crowds and the better atmosphere it creates, but this team has won a lot for a long time and it's only recently that the attendance has caught up.

Wow. What a great game. That is what I want to see every night. Continue the dominance tomorrow night and beyond!

Big win! 1 point tomorrow and we can steal UNH's National Championship away from them.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Kreider broke his jaw on that clearing attempt

Sorry about Chris. Speedy recovery!

Is that the diagnosis or just your opinion? I saw he was hurt and didn't come back, but I didn't see the play so I can't comment.

How long do broken jaw's usually take to heal? 4-6 weeks? 6-8? Obviously it depends on the severity of course, but on average...

Wow... now that was BC's 'A' game. Great team defense. Eagles were buzzing all over the ice and all over UNH. Would love to see them go up and take it to 'em again at the Whit... never let 'em in it.

Oh yeah, saw a bunch of Blue Jackets scouts there tonight. I am sure they liked what they saw from Cam tonight.

huge loss puts a damper on a brilliant performance, among the best i've seen in the past few years. i think UNH's shot totals were 3-6-4. i believe we hit the post three times in the first 8 minutes of the game
