An outsider's opinion only...but if senior night is not a sellout after all they've accomplished and are probably yet to accomplish in their four years there, it would be a CRIME.

yeah, he wouldn't rush him for that but i wonder about what someone here or EA said about Milner if Muse wins friday night. if it were last years version of Milner i would say it's possible, this year? no way

I think you would agree that Milner did in fact play up at UNH last year because of his play on the ice. I'd be stunned if we see Milner this weekend. Reason being is, if BC wins Friday...they're playing for the RS title Saturday night. If they lose Friday, they're still playing for playoff positioning.

I think the game is already sold out as is BC's allotment for Saturday's game in Durham.

absolutely agree, we have already seen him the last time this year

i hope this year is a catalyst for the future as far as fan interest is concerned. i have heard some say that it is partly because of football and b ball in a downward trend. i'd like to believe that due to it's success the people/students are coming out to support the hockey team and they like what they see not only on the ice but in conte itself. it is really fun to go to the games, the atmosphere is great..........

Both games are sold out. I managed to get tickets at conte right before they sold out in VV. I had to go on stubhub and buy the only tickets for sale at the Whitt. This weekend is gonna have HUGE implications.

As a student, I can say the atmosphere has definitely improved and that it seems like people are more connected to this team than they are to football and especially basketball. Football and basketball both are in down trends, but they are both still winning teams. Students seem to be buying into the team because they win a lot, which makes games more fun, which makes more people go, which makes it even more fun, which makes more people go, etc. The process is fueling itself. This team also just seems so easy to like

it's good to get a student's take on it, maybe we can get more of their opinions

I would too but I don't think there are very many students who post here. Now that Tony The Tiger has graduated I think Tomwarns might be the only one. Come on Tom. Get some more of your friends on the forum here. This time of year would be a great time to let others know about this forum/website. :D

Yeah, winning helps, but I think this is the biggest thing. It comes from the classiness of York and goes down to the players. Students are far more connected with the hockey players than the football and basketball players.

I am going away this weekend, so I won't be at Conte. I was excited about being able to see the game on NESN (on the dish), then I see an ad last night that the Red Sox game is going to be on and the BC-UNH game is being moved to "NESN Plus." Any chance that's on the dish? If not, I will have to wait until the tape delay starts at 10:15 pm.

Check here: Find Your NESNplus Channel for March 4

I went to set my DVR and the programming guide has not yet been updated. I am taping the 10:15 rebroadcast on regular NESN (76 in SD on FIOS - NESN plus is 78).
Wow, just did the exact same thing. I'm going to wait until tomorrow before deciding to record the rebroadcast. I'm just worried that the Sox/Yanks game will go like 25 innings or something stupid.

I just read the weekly column and he gave his post season awards. When I saw he gave the Rookie of the Year to Coyle I thought he was crazy (because of his decline in production since the WJC). Then I took a look at who made the All-Rookie team and realized Coyle was probably the best choice. Man, what a weak rookie class (so far).

I know people tend to gravitate toward greatness, but I think this is the wrong thread :p

The thinking behind the comment that we may see Milner this weekend was in terms of implications for the national tournament. If we lose on Friday then we wouldn't see Milner. If we win on Friday, however, a sweep could easily push UNH down in the Pairwise to a #4 seed. With the mix of Yale being a solid #1 seed, and UNH being a first round conference match up, we could be sending ourselves west with a sweep. There are obviously a lot of moving parts with this with the conference tourney, etc. But I believe that was the thinking.

I think Tomwarns might be the only one.

Not true! I'm a student also, and I read all the time, I just don't usually post.
