Any word on Wey's injury tonight? I hope Mass wasn't playing dirty (they typically are a clean team) as it's pretty uncommon to have 3 guys knocked out in one weekend and it appears that Atkinson's injury was a knee to knee.

That game could have been 7-1 Eagles with a little puck luck. There were some incredible passes that were just inches off the mark on some back door plays. The UMass goal was a back door beauty.

Those plays will start connecting soon me thinks. 'Tis the season. :cool:

Gotta give some credit to Danton. Put on a show tonight.

But you are right, seemed like there were just a stide late or an inch off. Work that out by Tourny time and we will be fine.

I was at the game last night with six other family members...me and my son the ones from New Hamster. BC sure left a lot of goals on the table; down in our end in the 2nd there were at least five chances that could easily have been goals.

Now...can someone 'splain this to me. The video scoreboard at the end of last night's game had BC with 51 shots on goal and UMA with over 40 themselves. It didn't seem like that kind of game to me, and sure enough the box score reflects 'only' 38 SOG for BC and 25 for UMA. Why even bother to put the shots on goal as a running stat if it's going to be wildly off at worst and unofficial at best?

i noticed that myself and usually the shot totals are not accurate during the periods but then after each period they are updated with the actual shot totals. after the first period they did update it to something like 19-19 so right there i knew something was up as no way U Mass had 19 shots :confused:. what was going with that last night is anyone's guess but they usually do update with official totals after each period :)

on another note, last night's crowd, 7884, ANOTHER sellout! not bad for us BC fans who don't show up at games, next joke?

Because if they didn't put them up there, we'd all be b_itching about it. ;) :D

I don't know if the scoreboard 'sog' guy is new at this, but in the past the guy has been pretty close. Tough to see from up there if the shot was actually on net. Just because a shot was gloved by the goalie doesn't make it a SOG (it would have to have gone in the net if the goalie hadn't gloved it for it to be a sog... lots of gloved shots last night that weren't on net).

Last night on the board, it looked like any puck the goalie played got posted as a SOG.

thnaks FL,we'll see what we can come up with:eek: if we play like we did vs UMass you may get your wish but i see a split here. BC has issues with Lake Whitt

Was thinking the same thing. Whoever it was...they were extremely SOG happy.

Looks like Wey blocked a shot and was sore...will be back against UNH. Carey is most likely sitting out until the QFs. Still, both good news. Those are two guys they will need.

True, but they have played better up their in recent years. I just don't want to see UNH celebrate at Conte. So, a tie would still be ok in my eyes Friday night. Playing a road game where you have to win to be the RS champion would be a great tune-up for the playoffs.

I mentioned to 91 that BC went from leading SOG after 1 to trailing before the 2nd. Strange.

It's much easier getting out of the Whit parking lot when all the hillbillies are inside celebrating their national title. :D :p
