Didn't help that there were about five straight penalties called on BC. Imagine if BC stayed out of the box...

Complete the sweep and knock UVM down a peg!

Sitting in my seat between the 2nd and 3rd periods, score 4-1 BC, I thought about what I had witnessed a week ago in New Hampshire. Thankfully, Jerry let them do what they do best... attack.

Me thinks with this group, the best defense is to let them play offense.

Concur. Muse wasn't spectacular last night because he didn't have to be. He was solid. He was in position and gave up few rebounds. The one goal he gave up was a lazer shot through a screen. Considering the conversations that will take place in the Vermont dressing room last night and today I can't imagine tham not being a tough out tonight. I would be stunned if Muse wasn't out there tonight.

I see a VT trap today. We buzzed them twice (without the goal scoring in the first game). I think Sneddon will try to slow us down in neutral ice.

Yeah but you play a little hockey from time to time, and Mike sucks at everything, so it was a mismatch from the start.

Hey J.D. really sweet of you to leave me a rep. note ... we're what, 3 seasons removed from having anything to do with each other's teams?

So when you come at me with "No. Just another Michigan State snoozefest," in our thread over there, I've got to believe you were either roaring drunk/hungover when you wrote it, or still kinda bitter :confused:

1. Didn't realize a harmless rep would lead to such a response in the team's thread. Sensitive?

2. Are you even supposed to talk about what rep people give you?

3. I've always been a Michigan fan.

4. I don't like ANY team that plays like Michigan State.

5. I don't like Michigan State

6. I remember some snide comments from you regarding BC

7. I might be "bitter" if it wasn't for, you know, that title in 2008...:rolleyes:

general rule of thumb is that when you give up a 3 on 5 goal, you dont deserve to win.

that PP was an abortion.. fake shot pass fake shot pass fake shot pass fake shot pass pass turnover breakaway goal.

I posted on the game thread...
plus, the hit from behind 5 minute major killed some serious momentum we had going at the time. They score on the PP to make it 3-1 and we couldn't recover (almost recovered doesn't count).

How the hell does that puck that went 5 feet straight above Spillane's head, then lands between him and the goal line, not go in the net? I thought that was the game tying goal for sure.

VT capitalized on our mistakes tonight and took the win. Simple as that.

No big deal though, I'll take a split against a good team; now on to Maine, where the goal has to be three points, I'd think.

This is going to be such a fun season in Hockey East. Go ahead and try to rank the teams 1-10 right now. I dare you.

I'm bummed because I was at the wrong end of Comm Ave yesterday and missed the fun and then didn't know the women were playing before the men today and missed all but the final four minutes of that :-(.

Sneep has been better, but he can still be a mess with the puck as we saw today. He doesn't have a great hockey IQ either...you simply can't let that happen.

I honestly missed the hit from behind, but York didn't seem pleased with the call.

I think it is a big deal. It's a season series lost which could come back to hurt. Just the way it unfolded was disappointing.

Maine won't be easy. They've been hit or miss so far. I would certainly take three points.

To be quite honest I am throughly disappointed that they lost to VT today. After last night, they should have came out and finished off the pummelling.

I thought it was a good call. It was a dangerous, very hard hit. The VT player went airborne, hard into the boards from the impact.
